Default Fill Q

I was just wondering, what exactly is a fill? And how long would I have to get one done?

Hi Ketchup -

As you can see, I moved your Q into its own thread so that more people will see it. I haven't had the lapband, so I can't give you ALL the details, but basically, think of the lapband as a belt. It can be loosened or tightened, depending on what you need. The 'belt' part is tube that can have saline injected into it. When it's first put into your body, there's no saline in it - but after a month or so [someone else knows better], your surgeon starts putting saline into it - and that's called a fill.

if you're not getting enough restriction, they'll add more. if you're getting too much restriction, they'll take some out.

hope this helps a little.
