There was some question as to if WLS would be covered at "My" Clinic or if I would have to go another facility. Monday just after I walked into the house following my knee surgery the case worker called me. I can have WLS at "my clinic". YAY!
The knee surgery went well. The meniscus was not torn as they originally thought. But the cartlidge from the knee cap was basically peeled back, folded over and the edge was lodged in the joint. I also had much more arthritis that they thought. I still have a compression wrap that has to stay on for another 24 hours. But I am walking without a cane or crutches. I really have no or very minimal pain in my knee. The only pain I am having is from the incisions.
Tomorrow I can take the compression wrap off...SHOWER
...and then I can goto the gym and start slow walking on the treadmill to "retrain my gait".OH!!! AND!!!! DrummmmRolllllll Pleeeeeease!!! I have lost 11 pounds since July 5th

this is really exciting - and with that description of the cartilage, it's a wonder that you could walk AT ALL!!!!
