Hiya Friends,

Yep, I made it and am home!! Thankfully, I had a very uneventful surgery and no complications!! Now I'm just trying to get some extra rest and see where this adventure is going to take me!

I was released from the hospital today. They started me on pureed foods yesterday, and I'm telling you, I was hungry after I ate my limited portions.....and it weren't in me head!! I guess my body has some adjusting to do, but I sure hope this will pass. It will drive me nuts if I feel hungry a lot of the time!! I've been sipping a fair amount of water, as well, but it doesn't really take the edge off of feeling hunger......although I have to say today was better than yesterday. Perhaps tomorrow will be even better than today!!

Anyway, it seems so surreal that this has happened, especially from thinking it might not just a few weeks ago, to now being a post-op. Funny how things happen sometimes! Well, I'm going to go rest, but thank you guys for thinking of me....really!! It was so nice to come on today and see a post waiting for me!! Yippeee!! Talk to you soon. God Bless....

wow, they started you up on pureed food REAL early!!!!

and now, start talking... how much protein are you supposed to be eating? and when do you see the surgeon? and did you have to do the dreaded swallow test?

and how did your hubby cope? and do your shoulders ache from the gas?

come on!!!! tell ALL!!!!!!
