November 20th!!!

    My surgery has been scheduled! November 20th is the big day!

    I was pretty stoked when they gave me that date.....that is the Friday before Thanksgiving. Yea I won't be doing any turkey and dressing but I will be able to enjoy the extra days off of work with pay! So I won't be using all of the PTO from work!

    I was thinking that I will just do turkey and dressing prior to my liquid diet. (the week before surgery).

    Plus I will be on soft foods by Christmas!

    Yay! Congrats. I'm really nervous about Thanksgiving... I'll be back on full diet then (with the standard restrictions of white things) I think I'd rather be in your boat as we always do thanksgiving here.

    I know my girls will want me to cook a big dinner but maybe I will be able to convince them to go out to eat for Thanksgiving and I will do up a big Christmas dinner. I'm sure I will be up for cooking then.

    that is soooo exciting my date is for Nov 13th and I can't wait. I too will be eating solids by Christmas, lucky for me our Thanksgiving in Canada is this coming weekend so it will be my last big Turkey Dinner I plan on savouring my grandma's apple pie.

    Congrats on the big date! Wonderful, and I am so very happy for you. You will be surprised how little food crosses your mind and a how little you could care about Thanksgiving and Christmas meals.
