Giving myself Credit

For a while I've been feeling powerless. . .I had an epiphany that I was only powerless b/c I gave up my power of what I eat..."oh well this is what they have. . .I don't want to be insulting by not eating. . .I have to bake" In the words of Rage Against the Machine or rather Paraphrase.. I took the Power back!
Last night we had a bbq for National night out. . .I wasn't perfect I ate the bun on my hamburger
But I said No to chocolate cake that DH was eating at my face level and offering to share with me
and we had a pizza meeting at work just now. I sat down with my salad and tuna/spinach loaf and I pondered the top of a white pizza. . .but I flexed my not giving in muscle and said NO

I feel satiated and good and proud of myself!

Good job! I tried not to eat 2 slices of pizza yesterday but I gave it...I had lots of salad and water though...And one piece of chocolate cake...I waited for the cake though....You have such awesome will power.

Funny you would post this, I was thinking something similar. You know you fall off the wagon get back on. It's a daily struggle. You always have to overcome yourself if that makes any sense. Don't beat yourself up. You are doing well.

Hi Kierie, sorry I misspelled your name! I hear you on the getting up close and personal with the dusty trail that we find ourselves face-down on sometimes. I am making my way back to being the model RNY gbs patient. My pouch is still a 3 oz capacity, as verified by flouroscopic examination with contrast (YUCK!!!) in February, so I haven't gone too far from the wagon or the trail, lol. But when you're incapacitated and on drugs (from hip surgery) carbs go down soooooo well sometimes. I have a fondness for toast with a light schmear of strawberry philadelphia cream cheese.... Shame on me! But I'm back to 100+ grams of protein a day and complex carbs. Woohoo! lol
