Wink I didn't expect this

I donate blood frequently and they check your cholesterol levels as standard procedure:

On 4/24/09 about a month before surgery it was 240 which is high
on 6/11/09 exactly a month after it was 175
and yesterday it was 151

I never thought it would work that fast,it really gives me a feeling that making this choice for WLS was the best thing for myself I've ever done. And I thank all of you for helping me with this life changing decision. You have helped me save my Life

Thanks ever so Much!!!!

The cholesterol thing shocked me, too! I didn't have high total cholesterol pre-op - I think it was in the 160s before my surgery - but when I got my 3-month post-op labs done, my total cholesterol was asterisked as being out of the normal range because it was 122 with the "normal" range being 125-200. And I will say I do eat quite a bit of fat in my diet! My triglycerides were high pre-op and are now down into the normal range at 3 months out. Things do move quickly!
