Hey everyone,
Just wanted to let you all know, I had my Gastric Bypass Op on Staturday and I came home yesterday afternoon.
I'm doing ok and no longer on Painkillers, so I must be getting better,
Its weird cos I haven't felt hungry at all and I am finding it hard to get all my liquids down. But the nurse called me today and said, just drink as much as i can and not to rush it. so Here I am on my way over to the losers bench hopefully soon.

and the nurse is right - be sure to drink up! one sip at a time. and you won't be hungry for quite awhile!!!

which hospital did you use? i had surgery with the hospital group last year (breast augmentation) and i know they specialise in weight loss surgery.

anyway hope you feel better from a fellow englishwoman!

Paula, I had my Op at The Alexandra Hospital in Manchester and My surgeon was Mr.Ammori, He is really nice and I had no problems at all.

Manchester eh? My best friend and her husband are from Birmingham...not walking distance but closer then I am! LOL

sip slowly and all day long...I kept a frozen water bottle next to me and sipped it as it melted that way you can measure how much you've had.

Congrats LipGloss!! Good to hear all is well. I was starting to worry about you because I hadn't seen any msgs from you several days before you were getting the surgery done. I just got home yesterday and am ready for the ride!!! YAY!! It is such a wonderful feeling to know that THIS time there will be change!!
