taking a stand!

  • ok, folks. a new low, or high, as it were. i could not button my smallest sized jeans this morning. i'm not happy.

    so, here's the ACTION PLAN
    • no more snacking
    • no more than 6 crackers per day [doesn't matter that they really are whole grain - they're still CRACKERS!!!!!!]
    • moving more

    and since that last point has been HARD for me to get started doing, i've recruited reinforcements! today started with a 15 minute walk.

    i told the ladies at work that i was going to invite them to join me for a 10 minnute walk this morning, and another one this afternoon. we've done the morning walk so far. and it was the right thing to do.

    the key point for me is to MAKE THE APPOINTMENT with myself!!!! so, by the end of today, i'll have logged 35 minutes of walking [at least!] and if i finish off the day with some weights, or other strength training, i'll be a happy girl.

    scheduling it seems to be the key for me. always has been - probably always will be. but as big a pain as it is, KNOWING this gives me power and control

    at least, that's what i'm hoping! and if i get a healthy dose of stress management along with it, so much the better!!!!

    I haven't been writing things down on Fitday and I will get back to that today...promising you that!

  • journaling?? WHAT journaling?? i'm facing reaccreditation ****, and then after that, proposal ****, finding a place to live, finding a home for the dog, getting into graduate school.

    journaling???? i'd rather spend the time walking!!!!!

    Sometimes I don't feel like going to the gym but I drag my saggy butt there and once I'm working out I feel great! You keep going!! Your such an inspiration to all of us !!
