Yes, that was ME on the ELLIPTICAL !!!!

:carrot::carrot:

I am doing the happy dance because I finally had enough courage today to get on the elliptical machine at the gym.......:D

I worked out on the treadmill and then I figured I'd go over to a smaller room of the gym that is usually less crowed. There was only one other person in there and he was at the front of the room. I figured that was a good thing because if I fell off (I'm not graceful...but, I'm getting better) he wouldn't see. So, I got on and I stayed on there for 10 minutes at 3.0 mph!!!! The sweat was just rollin' but it felt good!!!

I've lost 85 pounds so far (surgery on Feb. 26, 2008) and I have gained so much confidence that it's not even funny. I wish all of those hateful people from school could see me now....I think they would be speachless......I on the other hand have ALOT I'd like to say to them....LOL!!

So, if you worried about trying a new machine at the gym I say....GO FOR IT!!!!!:carrot::carrot:

Yeah, I am actually trying to get past the 5 minute mark!! That machine just kicks my butt! Wish I could stay up there for 30 minutes like some of those girls at the gym :( Oh well, I'm good at other things lol

It took me 4 weeks to even think about getting on one. The first time I lasted 3 minutes ( 2 1/2 of those minutes I was praying for a heart attack so I could be done) I waited 3 more weeks and forced myself to do 5 minutes, three days later I did 10 minutes. I added 10 minutes each week until I got to 60 minutes. It is such an empowering feeling to triumph over a machine.
