241!!!!! My appointment with the surgeon and my Arch Nemesis, the 15' High Dive! !

  • Woohoo!

Well people...I started down the other Side! 241 this morning...Hurray!

I had my 3 month visit with my surgeon yesterday, officially I have lost 59lbs since surgery, all my levels are great, my weight loss is on the high side of normal and he thinks that with the amount of working out I do and how well I have done so far, I should lose another 30 - 45 lbs before my 6 month appointment! If I lose 45, I will be under 200! Never thought I would ever be under 200 again...the thought is still surreal for me.

    Now about my... Arch Nemesis

I have been fighting to get my life back for years now and am making leaps and bounds in my efforts since surgery. I have....
    • gotten into a bathing suit
    • went down a very big slide
    • climbed up a rock wall more then 5 feet (in a harness that fit me)
    • jumped off the low dive many many times now...so that it seems easy
    • ran/walked a 5K

did I mention the bathing suit????

But my brother has challenged me to jump the 15' high dive! Well, this last weekend, I got as far as getting up the ladder, walking to the end of the rail with 4 more feet to the end of the board and....I looked down...need I say more! I turned around and climbed down the ladder! Blasted high dive! You haven't seen the end of me!

Hey Miss Plateau Breaker: I'm so happy for you!! WTG! About the 15' dive.....are you crazy!!!! You are just starting a new life, so don't break your dang neck at this point. Go for the rock wall and the safety harness....leave the dive alone!!!! LOL!! Well, if you can do the 15' dive, do it!! Just down land face down or your will have such a mark!!!
  • wtg girl!
  • YAY for you!! I wouldn't be able to do the high dive either and it has nothing to do with weight! It has to do with fear!
