Default Interesting turn of events!

I was posting a while back in January and had started the process with my insurance company to get my surgery. They ended up changing what it takes to qualify and I am no longer eligible. My parents came to visit me this weekend and they are willing to pay for the surgery with their money if I want it. I am so excited! and confused! and scared!

I look forward to reading all of your updates!

Thanks so much! You are doing great!

I am going ahead with the surgery. Am looking to have it at the end of June/early July. I am excited and nervous! I have decided to go with gastric bypass vs. lapband.

June/July will be here faster then you can imagine! After I read up on the two surgeries, I felt that GBP was the one for me.

Default Well I'm be darn!!

I'm so happy you are back with us and have good news. Read as much as you can and consider all the long term affects of any of the surgeries, as well as the success rates. I'd had read and studied for years about all kind of wtl surgeries and had seen the ups and downs because I"m in the medical field, but until you are really in it, just didn't get the reality of it. But....would I change a thing? Heck no!! I have a life. We will encourage and be there for you. Give your mom and dad a big hug for me.
