Finally expirenced Dumping!
Well, is it normal to not be able to tolerate bread! The last two times I have eaten it I have Dumped! My bodies reaction is almost immediate!
On the Good note, I had my first month birthday this past week. I officially (by my scales) have lost 22lbs since surgery. That means 38lbs total since last May! I have lost an average of 2 inches on all my measurements! |
Woot!! Woot!!
You big loser you!!!! LOL!!! I'm so happy you sent us a note. I've been wondering how you were doing and how the road was treating you and how much you have lost. 38 lbs let see that is, well my GD, Pyper, weighs 36 lbs, so that would be like carrying her around on your back!!! 2 inches; bosom or feet!! LOL!!! I'll bet it is your waist?!?
Now about bread. I was up at 3:00 this morning and decided to convert a 1 1/2 lb recipe to a 1 pound loaf. It was called triple cheese wheat bread. Don't make it at 3:00, I forgot to reduce the amount of water and ended up with a hunk of ........ My DH was happily munching in with a slab of butter going out the door at 6:00 a.m. He told me it was "waddy" but really good. If I'd even eaten even some of the crust I would have had a lump and than barfed. Bread is not my friend anymore. But, truly it is one friend that I can live without. I wonder if I can eat Wasa Bread? Luv ya! |
nope, no bread for me...I dump too honey!
Woohoo for the 38 lbs!!!!!! Feels so good doesn't it! I agree with Nancy, I was wondering how you were doing! Very good to hear from you honey! Please let me know when you come to Nampa, we will have to go hit the YMCA and chat! Angela |
congratulations! you're doing great! as for the bread thing - it was more than a year before i could eat anything other than a wee bit of toast or some of the hard crust from a roll.
don't be worried if you can't eat bread. there are PLENTY of other things that you can eat that won't cause you problems. go find them, and ENJOY every bite! after all, if you're only eating a few bites, shouldn't they be REALLY GOOD ONES????!!!! |
I too wasn't able to eat bread for nearly a year after surgery & even now (after 2 years), I only eat it once in awhile (1-2 per month) if it isn't toasted. It has become my NEW Dessert Treat when I eat out!
