I'm feeling dizzy. Is that normal....

Or should I call the Doc on a sunday? Pains minimal, haven't been on pain killers since I got home but I didn't quite understand how many of the chewable vitamins I should take and was only taking 2 instead of 4. I have corrected that today and yet I am still dropping things and dizzy. My Dr. will be open tomorrow and my 2 week appointment is next monday.

I don't feel horrid just a bit dizzy. Normal? or should I be concerned?

Angela,
Feeling dizzy is not normal. I have only always done 2 chewable vitamins (Flintstone Complete). My first thought about the dizzy part is that 1) you aren't getting enough protein in (mine was 70-85 grams minimum when I started) and/or aren't drinking enough fluids. You should never have 2 hands free at the same time (1 should be holding a glass of liquid (preferably something with protein in it :-D). If you are getting the protein & the fluids in, then you might want to call.

Take care of yourself, you are just starting to live a whole new life -- and it will be wonderful!

Please call the doctor. Don't mean to alarm you, but a close friend of mine had a horrible staph infection after her surgery (actually it was after her skin tuck surgery, about a year after her weight loss surgery). Other than that, I can't speak from experience.

On a side note, congrats! Today is the first day of your awesome future.
Hope you feel better soon.

Make sure you are getting plenty of water, dehydration is the last thing you need, also are you eating enough? are you doing to much? your body is trying to tell you something.... I would suggest #1...call your doctor, #2 make sure you are getting plenty of rest, do not over do it, you had some major surgery chickie darling..#3 water, drink your water, #4 eat what you are supposed to eat. I remember being dizzy b/c I wasn't eating enough but nonetheless.... Yes, call your doctor.

Let us know

I second Leenie and Loodie!! Other thing could it be your blood sugar? That has been a problem for me. I either haven't gotten in enough fluids or I'm not eating something every three hours. Call the doctor!

here's my view: make sure you get a certain amount of protein every 3 hours - my 'magic number' was 15 grams. i had to do it or I WOULD GET DIZZY!!!!

try this -along with the hydration. if this is the problem, you'll notice a big change immediately. if it doesn't improve within, say, 8 hours, call the doc.
