Life List 100 things

  • About 8 years ago I created a 100 things to do before I die list (assuming I live awhile). Well I lost the list but I did accomplish alot on the list. Well, I accomplished the Masters degree and the dream job and my kids are 20, 19 and 16, I even went to see Oprah. So I decided that I would do another list and thought I'd share it with you all. The light bulb moment occured when I looked at the things on my list that revolve around my weight. I also looked at other peoples list on the web and discovered not many people had loss weight on their list or had to loss weight before they can accomplish something on the list.

I am only at 45 but I want to be physically able to enjoy the things on my list. I also want to live long enough to get through the list (God willing). If I did the three physical things on my list the exercise would be taken care of. (epilitical at home, dance lessons once or twice a week, hiking once a week). What would be on your life list?

  • MS. STEPHANIE ~ Good for you taking control of your life; making a list of things you would like to do, and then starting to do them. I wish I had started much earlier making changes in my life; I got sick when I was about 47 y/o and that prompted me to take some positive action for myself for once. I'm sure that I could come up with more, but this was all I could remember right now; I did not have surgery, but saw your post at the home page; hope you don't mind me adding my two cents! ROSEBUD

  • I can think of 3 right now
1 move people with my words
2 drive the Amalfi coast in a convertible (ME Behind the wheel)
    3 Ballroom dance!
  • I am so inspired by your replies. Thanks for sharing.... Yes I think that would be my choice a Cleveland/Steelers game... I think I'm gonna make that happen in 2008/09. Let me see if the schedule for next year is up yet.

I used to have this ring tone on my phone... It reminds me of the journey ahead and the importance of health... I don't want to live a slow death by being overweight... I want to "dance", embrace life and move.. This I can do..

Lee Ann Womack - I Hope You Dance Lyrics

I hope you never lose your sense of wonder
You get your fill to eat
    But always keep that hunger
May you never take one single breath for granted
God forbid love ever leave you empty handed
I hope you still feel small
When you stand by the ocean
Whenever one door closes, I hope one more opens
Promise me you'll give faith a fighting chance

And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
    I hope you dance
    I hope you dance

I hope you never fear those mountains in the distance
Never settle for the path of least resistance
    Living might mean taking chances
    But they're worth taking
    Lovin' might be a mistake
    But it's worth making
Don't let some **** bent heart
    Leave you bitter
When you come close to selling out
    Reconsider
    Give the heavens above
More than just a passing glance

And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
    I hope you dance
(Time is a real and constant motion always)
    I hope you dance
    (Rolling us along)
    I hope you dance
    (Tell me who)
    I hope you dance
(Wants to look back on their youth and wonder)
    (Where those years have gone)

I hope you still feel small
When you stand by the ocean
Whenever one door closes, I hope one more opens
Promise me you'll give faith a fighting chance

And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
    Dance
    I hope you dance
    I hope you dance
(Time is a real and constant motion always)
    I hope you dance
    (Rolling us along)
    I hope you dance
    (Tell me who)
(Wants to look back on their youth and wonder)
    I hope you dance
    (Where those years have gone)

    (Tell me who)
    I hope you dance
(Wants to look back on their youth and wonder)
    (Where those years have gone)
