Default Strange pain/discomfort

I'm not looking for anything to be wrong just wanted to check in with you all before I go running to the doc
Sometimes when I eat or if it's been a long time since I've eaten or indeed Neithr I get pain at my waist and it feels like someone is tugging on my belly button from underneath. I've been chalking it up to gas (which it could be) but my gf (and med student extra ordinaire) Pointed out it could be symptomatic of adhesions!
Scary
I just wanted to check in with you all and get some input!
Thanks!
Kier

When something isn't right, call your doctor KO, don't wait. It could be scar tissue..but thats something he should be telling you.

Let us know what he says...

KO I've been recently having similar pain attacks which I initially thought were muscle spasms or something, but after reading your post I kind of got worried and talked to my surgeon. He said that, although possible, adhesions are unlikely since my bowels weren't touched (I had sleeve gastrectomy, I think it's the same for you since you had the band, right?). So anyway he brought up that it could be gallstones, which isn't uncommon after bariatric surgery, and he ordered an ultrasound for me tomorrow. So just like Leenie said, don't ignore it, follow up, and keep us posted

Hey Della
Thanks for the input. I had Bypass actually and when I was telling my GF about the pain she said that's what happens to her when she has gas in her gall bladder.
I have noticed a lot of"trapped Gas" lately and bloating
Also I noticed the discomfort when I havent eaten in a long time
Truthfully I ahve to call so many medical professionals this week
I'm really overwhelmed with medical stuff this week I need to call an orthopedist (who for the first time won't have Lose weight as a catch all for me) Primary care and Dr. Shah
and I have a wedding and I rEally REALLy need a nap!
I am going to call him I have too!

Hey Kier.. So I got that checked and turns out I do have gallstones, and so did my friend who did the surgery last november. Apparently, it is a side effect of losing so much weight regardless of how you use it.. Haven't heard from you in a while, hope you are doing well...
