New here...considering lap band in Denver
 

Anyone else in the Denver area?

Hi, I am new here... I am going to my consultation appt on Thurs to learn about lap band. I am 28, mom to 3 kiddos (ages 5,3,1) and stepmom to a 14 yr old as well. Anyway, I just wanted to say hi. I am nervous about Thursday, I am anxious to find out how much I have to pay out of pocket and financing and all that. I currently weigh 250 and can't seem to lose any on a "diet". I think the lapband would be a good tool to help.

Welcome to this forum, you will find that everyone here is very helpful!! I haven't done my surgery here, but I recently moved to Colorado, and I heard of a Doctor in Greely who does bariatric surgery, if you want his name I would send it to you, but I am guessing you picked up a surgeon already since you have an appointment :)

Don't be nervous, just go over all aspects of the surgery on that appointment to be in the light. Personally this was one of the most difficult decisions that I had to make and I was lucky enough it worked well for me. I still have to deal with the challenges of trying to lose weight, but surgery made things easier "or even possible!" for me..
