I don't technically reward myself. I read so much about rewards and how we should reward ourselves and whatnot, and I've spent so much time searching for something that would be a good reward for myself, but to no avail. I can't really afford much since we're super-scrimping money-wise to save up to buy a home next year, so no pedicures, manicures, hair coloring, massages, or anything else non-essential. I only buy clothes out of necessity since the ones I like are so expensive (Lane Bryant and Avenue, primarily), and I need them for work. We have a Netflix account, so we watch movies all the time at home. At $10 per person, we don't go out to movies too frequently anymore, but we do try to hit a matinee once in a while, but that is for "together" time for us, not any kind of reward.

I've seen home spa time as a reward mentioned by some--like a nice long, hot bubble bath and such. Only problem is, the bathtub in our apartment is so old and has been refinished so many times that I absolutely refuse to sit down in it because it looks absolutely disgusting :dizzy:

Anyway, I guess my reward is a healthier me. Seeing the scale go down and some of my rolls starting to smooth out is what keeps me going more than any other type of reward possibly could ;)

I reward myself by saving money... sounds odd, doesn't it? Well, my plan is to be at goal, or close enough to it, by mid-July, at which time 4 of my very good friends from my hometown are comming to visit me, and we are going on a major shopping spree. So ever since I started losing weight, I have been putting money into an envelope, set aside for this shopping trip. Currently have $280 saved... my motivation is the more I have saved, the more I can buy - my plan is to have at least $1,000 saved for it! (Also a great motivation for staying OP... I want to hit this weight by this time, so I can't afford to be splurging!)

I have found that lately I don't have specific rewards in mind. I am SO enjoying watching the scale numbers drop and seeing my body emerge from its shell. That is the biggest reward now.

And along with doing these healthy things for my physical self, I am taking time to take care of myself mentally and emotionally as well.
I have been doing things like
salt scrubs for my feet
doing my hair- actually getting regular haircuts
buying a movie from the cheapie bin at walmart once a month
taking time for dinners/ get-togethers with friends and family

I like to do things for myself. Since I am generally treating myself better these days, I find that I am a lot happier.

Clothes!!! OMG I have so many clothes. I buy new clothes to wear shopping to buy new clothes.
I have my eye on a beautiful lambskin jacket but I will not buy it until I reach my New Years Goal. It will be my reward.

One of my favorites is to buy a few flowers a visual reminder when I walk by them that I lost weight that week. Seeing those flowers encourages me to stay on track.

It is fun to buy new clothes in a smaller size
