I get what your saying now, sorry!

Now that I look at the "wording".... maybe I should have said that "Other addictions aren't comparable to food addiction" instead of the other way around. I aggravate myself when I don't say things right! DUH to me! But at least now we understand what I was trying to mean to say the first time. (I think, LOL!)

BTW Courtnie, your little Keiko is just TOO CUTE and getting cuter!!! How's the doggy/mommy relationship going?

It is the best relationship in the whole world! We sleep together at night (because my boyfriend works graveyards) and she sleeps as close to me as she can.. some nights right on my face hehe. Sometimes in the middle of the night I wake her up just to give her hugs and kisses. She follows me around the house just like a lost puppy. Anyway she is sweet as pie and I love her to pieces. I couldn't has ask for a better dog :) I wish you all could meet her!

just to piggy back on the original post, when I lost my first 50, automatically I was on drugs.. my MOTHER staged an intervention lol, at my house. I was like...umm, see the gym clothes? check the gym records, and get out of my house lol... its cool now, but I was heart broken that because I had been fat all my life, that now that I was finally doing something about it, I just *had* to be on drugs.. ridiculous.

Wow! that stinks! - sorry your mom, of all people, thought you to be on drugs rather than exercising & eating well! But CONGRATS! - look how far you've come!!! Good for you!!! That exercising thing can REALLY be a rush! I prefer treadmill, stairclimber, & weight lifting.

I know that every time I've lost weight it's been due to exercising regularly & eating better. And whenever I've gained the weight back, it's always been due to not being able to exercise (I'm a gym person... I just CANNOT do that "at home" stuff) usually because of injury, and then I return to my old, unhealthy, OVEReating habits. :( (I soooo gotta get back into my routine!)

I totally agree with the part that you have to be READY for this to work. I found that once I decided to lose the weight and become healthier I have never once looked back. I don't know what the difference was, or what MADE me ready, but I wish I could bottle it up and give it away to anyone who needed it.

The thing that I don't agree with though is the eat LESS and move more concept. I definitely agree with the move more, and my motto is "If you can't find something you LOVE, then at least find something that you don't hate, but you have to move more!" But I actually find that I am probably eating MORE now, but it is a lot healthier than stuff I was having a few years ago. I eat 3 good-sized meals a day and 3 snacks. I have had a deitician give me advice along the way, so I know I'm eating well. I used to eat a lot of rubbish, but I'm not so sure I'm eating less now, just cleaner, with lots of whole grains, fruit and vegetables and WAY less processed food.

So, I always say: Eat BETTER and move more.

Just what has worked for me.

That is a much better way to say it. I agree that I eat more but eat less calories, I guess thats why I figure "eat less" works for me cuz I am eating less calories just not less food. haha, but I like your version better!

And me too, once I was ready to lose I haven't looked back - it seems so easy now, I guess becauses it been 9 months - it just comes natural.
