From my understanding many medications can hinder weight loss. Some of which are prednisone (steroid), NSAID's (such as ibuprofen) Anti-anxiety/Anti-psychotics, Thyroid medications, some Blood Pressue Med's. I am sure the list goes on and on. I personally have been on prednisone for almost 4 yrs. and yes it made weight loss difficult, but with proper diet and exercise it is still possible to lose weight. My doctor gave me the best advice ever, seeing how I take about 23 pills a day. He said "yes, these medicines will make you seem hungrier but they don't choose what you put in your mouth, you do". This kind of seemed very hurtful at first, but I have to admit he was RIGHT.
