Am I just lucky, or is my body waiting to strike?

  • 33 pounds down, 17 to go. I've lost something like 25 inches throughout my body except...

My bust. The girls have only dropped a quarter of an inch in size so far. Is it perhaps because of my age that I haven't lost more inches up there? It just seems like since I've lost pretty evenly through my whole body EXCEPT there that something's up. Am I just lucky, or is my body waiting to hit me in the last 20 pounds?

Not that I'm complaining about still having a bust... I seem thinner than I am simply because now my bust is so much bigger than my tummy.
  • You may just be one of the "lucky ones" like me. I have a real hard time losing anything in the bust area. I've always been a DD, even at 115 pounds. My strap size will change as I get smaller but my cup size will actually increase. Some call this a blessing, LOL
  • At my highest I was a 38DD and I'm now a 34D (although in my strapless bras it's a full C), some are just busty
  • God youre so lucky. Give some of your boobage to me. Mine will never get any bigger thn a 34b.
  • They deflate when my weight gets quite low. I think because it's fat that keeps them plump. It's been eons since I could go braless so they don't bother me much. In fact, since I've discovered that I'm a tiny person (didn't know that honestly!) I'm glad they've shrunk. I'm just too small to have booooozzooooms stickin' out the front.
  • I started at a 42 DD. When I was within 20 lbs. of goal, I was a 38DD. Now, at goal and I am a 36 C. So, I didn't lose them til the very end of my weight loss. I am not at all sorry to see them go. I just hate the droopiness.

i 'bout fell out of my chair laughing. I know how you feel. at my heaviest, i'm a 40 D, at my thinest, I'm a 36 C. but they loose a bit of their shape, and i'm being kind.
  • It might also depend on how much of your breasts are actual breast tissue and how much is fat. I think this can very quite a bit from person to person. You won't lose breast tissue when you lose weight, so if that's a good portion of your breast structure, you might only slightly go down in cup size even if you lose quite a bit of weight.
  • My breasts have been slow to change size. I know I've lost inches, but I've lost a lot less there than other places. I can still wear bras that I wore 60 pounds ago, but now I just don't have "bubbles" of fat poking out the sides and top.

I've heard that, that breasts are often the last part to shrink.
  • Please, please, PLEASE take some of mine!!! I can't figure out why people have surgery to get to my size (DD despite a 68lb weight-loss during which I dropped only one cup size). I'd rather be a C cup, thanks...Here's hoping that the next lbs help me out.
  • I agree with the C cup!! Haven't seen it since jr high. My poor daughter who is 23 today wears an F cup. In our family it appears to be breast tissue and not losable fat. I also have a neice who is 23 and has had breast reduction surgery. It seems like we aren't happy no matter what.
  • Me, me! Take mine!!! All you want!

Fortunately mine are shrinking though with my weight loss. I am thankful for every little bit of mine which disappears!!!
