But if you eat breakfast before you go to GNC, that's going to add some pounds on.

Sorry, I couldn't find this thread for the longest time! Silly me, I just had to look at all of my posts in my profile, duh!

I actually was fully dressed, got on the home scale and then jumped in my car to get on the GNC scale, about 15 minutes away. I wanted to make sure the conditions were identical so I could see what the difference was. What I just did last week was get on the GNC scale and then shot over to Bed, Bath & Beyond to jump on their scales. Whichever one came closest to the GNC reading, I would buy. Turns out, the Health-O-Meter analog scale was dead on! And it was only $19.99, 40 bucks less than the lithium one I bought and am having problems with! Once I got it home, I compared the new with the old one. My old scale is consistently 5 pounds less than the new one.

I use the Tanita 2 Memory Body Fat Scale from bed, bath, and beyond. I like it so far and I've weighed myself downstairs and then taken the scale upstairs and weighted myself and it was the same.
