My guess is that part of the extra from GNC is because you'd likely have weighed at a different time and in different clothes. And if you continue to use it, try to keep it at the same time periods. But if you eat breakfast before you go to GNC, that's going to add some pounds on.

Sorry, I couldn't find this thread for the longest time! Silly me, I just had to look at all of my posts in my profile, duh!
I actually was fully dressed, got on the home scale and then jumped in my car to get on the GNC scale, about 15 minutes away. I wanted to make sure the conditions were identical so I could see what the difference was. What I just did last week was get on the GNC scale and then shot over to Bed, Bath & Beyond to jump on their scales. Whichever one came closest to the GNC reading, I would buy. Turns out, the Health-O-Meter analog scale was dead on! And it was only $19.99, 40 bucks less than the lithium one I bought and am having problems with! Once I got it home, I compared the new with the old one. My old scale is consistently 5 pounds less than the new one. |
