Stevi - I've heard from other chix who lived with their older sisses and couldn't do it but the way I think of it is "If I've lived with it this long, what's another year?" Plus when she gets on my nerves in that bossy, older sibling way, I just tell her to back the **** off. Usually she does. I don't know when it happened but we have this routine where we fight and it sounds bad but in two minutes we're talking like nothing happened. So weird. When we were kids, we would get into funks that lasted for DAYS. Oh well. I'm happy. I'm kinda nervous because I've never lived with just her so I wonder if in this different situation we CAN get along. We'll see. My dad was trying to convince us to get a 1 bdrm and we both were like "NO!" so that ended that. Haha.

I went to the gym yesterday and ate well all day long. Today I didn't start too well. I had a donut and some chips (potluck at work) I did bring my lunch from home and I'm not going to have any more junk food today. I'll be good! Thanks! |

I just came back from my morning walk…..it feels so good to walk…..it was a bit windy out but I am not going to complain because the heat wave we all just had was attrocious. Anyhow I have been doing extremely well with my food intake, and cut back on my soda….I think I have like maybe (3) 8oz. A week. This is better than what I was doing oh my gawd I just counted how many I used to drink a day…. (15) to (20) 8oz. A week. OH MY GOODNESS……That’s like major sugar right there……well I am glad that I have been sticking to my drinking more water or I will have orange juice in the morning. I snack on snap peas if I want something. They help take the hunger craving, and you don’t eat as much. So far this morning I have had (2) 16.9 oz of water. I have to go in for a refill. Thank you for the information on the chocolate..I am going to have to give it a whirl. Chocolate and I have been dating for YEARS and I just love chocolate so it will never exit my shopping list. I just wont over do it is all.. :) I also want to get that turbo jam that sounds like fun. Is it in stores yet? All I hear are high raves about it….and how it makes people feel. I want one…..I want Turbo Jam…Me Me Me…well I am going to have to look around..if you all know of where I could find it….just let me know ….. Thanks…. You gals are the bestest. Feeling better about myself today. Friday evening I was very willful at the grocery store -- I really wanted my favorite Amy's No Cheese Pizza and they didn't have it -- every other Amy's Pizza, but they all had cheese :tantrum: So I tried to make my own by using bread stick dough and ate it [B]all.[B] No big surprise to see the scale pop up a pound and a half the next day. And to top it off, I didn't exercise! Not good. So this morning I made sure that my exercise was one of the first things I did. :cheer: Sixty minutes of Masala Bhangra leaves me feeling like a limp dishrag for about half an hour afterwards, then very, very good. So today is gonna be a great day! How is everyone else doing? Time to go shower off the sweat, change into nice fresh clothes, and retire to the basement to SEW! August Exercise 80/500 |

So girls, just found out that my scale reads 2 lbs lighter than my actual weight. I calibrated it with a 20 lb weight. I was SO mad. On Sat, my weigh in day, I dropped to 162 but now realize that it's actually 164. BAH. :( Whatever. I'm not changing my ticker until my home scale reads 160, then I'll change le ticker. I take consolation in the fact that I am losing some weight if not as much as I want. :) Angel and Stevi - haven't heard from you two in a while...everything ok? |

Nothing's wrong...this thread has just been slow. I come and read if there's something here. Weekend was good. Saw my Dad on Fri. night. We hadn't seen each other in person in 6 months/almost 50 lb ago, the look on his face was priceless. Its almost TOM so I'm feeling fatigued, I always feel worse during the PMS then the actual event. Sunni~ Sorry about the 2 lbs, but aleast it's only 2. Some people have scales off as much as 15! THAT would ruin my week...no month! Lady~ Great job!! Seems you are losing very consistantly. I don't do that anymore. I'll have a minimal loss for 2 weeks then BAM! 4 or 5 lbs down. I take what I get. Hope your sewing was fun! Java~ Good job on the H2O, I've been struggling with it for some reason. For the last 4 months I have been taking in 100+oz a day now I'm lucky to get 50oz. ARRGG! Have a great MONDAY! |

Sorry I haven't been around much. I really feel like I'm in a rut. The last 2 weeks haven't been so good as far as my eating goes. For some reason I am finding that I am slipping into some of my old habits. YUK! I really feel like I need to start all over again. I just don't know how to do it. I have been fighting with the same 3 lbs for over a month now. I go from 211 to 214 and back again. Someone please give me a swift kick and tell me to stay away from the junk! Luckily I have continued to exercise 5 days a week, I can't imagine how much I would have gained back if I weren't exercising. I'm sure you can all relate to sometimes feeling like " I'm tired of counting and watching my food all the time. I've come way too far to go back now. So somehow, someway I need to get refocused. Sunni-Keep your chin up! Stupid scales. You'll be to 160 before you know it. Donna-congrats on the weight loss.. Jaya-Good job on the walking and all the water. Stevi-Glad to hear your feet are feeling better. Magdie-I hate work potlucks too. It is always way too tempting. Sounds like you did okay though. Well hope everyone had a fantastic weekend. I'm feelin' ya.:hug: My loss has slowed and it frustrates me. I got used to 3-4 lbs a week there for a bit, then 2, now 1 or nothing for weeks at a time. My weekend was very much " I'm soooo sick of counting EVERYTHING." So I didn't. At least for the weekend. No damage but no loss either. Like that attitude helped any. So this morning I'm gonna try to get back into the swing of things. Cutting my carbs back as well as limiting my calories to hopefully initiate a loss. Exercise has been good with me as well. I'm in a weird state of mind lately. Like, "I look soooo much better than I did..." But not nearly as good as I will....THATS what I have to remember. We'll get it back. If its any consolation, I miss you when your not around. Have a wonderful Monday!:D |
ladynredd - That is great!!!! I know exactly how you were feeling. In the mornings at 10:00am I go for my walks...but sometimes I am dragging but I force myself to walk....and I feel so much better afterwards...CONGRATs On you weight loss...That is Awesome :) I want the scale numbers to move really soon..hehe..
stevi - thats cool I like when I see family members and if I lost 50lb I think I would have to pick their chins up off the ground..haha... :) The water is still going really good. Some days I have to force it ..but I am getting used to the idea... hehehe....In about a half hour I am going to go for my morning walk. It is a little cooler outside...but I think I can handle it :) hehe Today is going to be the first day that I use the gym here at work. I will be using it on my lunch hour. I am going to do a half an hour of I dont know what yet..but what ever they have...then afterwork I will come with my daughter and finish the other half hour...hehe...I am excited....!!! Angel - I have slipped too sometimes just get back up brush yourself off. I have an artical that I was reading the other day and I wanted to share it with you all...it might help you gals. Our weight has so much to do with our so much to do with our genes..I laughed at first but then when I started reading it more and more..I was facinated. It gives different gene types and what our bodies are lacking. So I will scan you all the copy of what I read..and maybe it might help you gals...since I read what my DNA gene type is..I noticed a difference in how feel..no cravings...I will scan the information that I read...and share it with you all..I think you might find it useful... :) Angel consider this your swift kick....hehehehe.... Well I need to finish up a couple of things here at work before I go on my morning walk. I had fruit for breakfast....grapes and kiwi....tasted so sinful..but it was delicious and healthy... :) When I get home this evening I will for sure scan the artical for you gals..and post it... :) I hope it will come in handy...it did for me...!!!! As for me, feeling blah. Actually, kinda sleepy. Have to go to the gym in 45 mins to do a half hour walk and that wave machine thing. Hm. Totally not feeling like going but will have to since I brought my clothes to work and it would be a waste of my time not going. Hehe. Hope I don't walk at 2.0 miles an hour. |
Wonderful Sunni......you go girl...well I went for my half hour....it is really cool ...while I worked out I watched an episode of Law In Order... :) I will be sure to scan that artical after work. ...it is interesting...and honestly it makes total sense... :) After my work out..I got my lunch ..and I had cottage cheese and a peach...and I think I am only be able to eat half of the peach......I am trying to think of what I am going make for dinner...being that I am not really in a cooking mood tonight..have other things to do..I think it is going to be salad night tonight...with avacado...very small portion of course...tomato and celery...mmm ya that sounds good. I have found that having a routine schedule really helps with everything...when I get home I open the fridge and then get the food out and start dinner right away ...after we eat...the new rule of thumb is no eating after 7:00pm...My daughter is so funny....we were eathing dinner last night and we half way done with our meal..and she says mom its 7:15pm..I said ya...then she we arent supposed to eat after 7:00pm..I started to laugh...and I told her that as long as dinner is prepaired and we are in the middle of dinner...we finish it regardless of the time..hehehe.. ...then it is clean up time and then after the food settles...My daughter and I go for a walk...or we will go to the gym and do a different workout then from this morning...then I will have my time to rest up and get stuff ready for the next day. I also started to go to bed earlier so that I can get a good nights rest.
I am so full I cant drink anymore water....I have had so far 50.7 oz of water today......whew..........glug glug... |
Wow Jaya, that's great that you and your daughter are so close! Reminds me of my mom and me. :) She's WAY too strict a dieter so I don't team up with her to lose weight but we do support each other.
So I was looking up DNA diets and I couldn't find anything that sounded interesting enough like the one you mentioned. Hehe. I'm addicted to Google and 3FC. So far so good. I've eaten well today - didn't overdo it even though I was starving after I came home. Went for a n hour on the treadmill at 4.0 but only lost 275 calories! I was wondering how that was possible since my treadmill at home says I've lost 600 calories working out for an hour at the same speed. Then I realized I wasn't breaking a sweat during my workout (straightened my hair and um...too lazy to get up early tomorrow and re-straighten) I've put up a pic of mine for an avatar. It's right after I got my hair did. :D |
