Hello out there!

Hi, I'm new here but not to trying to lose weight.

Currently I weigh 240 and want to be 160 by January 2007

I'm 17 and 5'4.

I'm sorry, did you have a typo? Did you mean to say you are NOT trying to lose weight? Or are you just in the preemptive contemplative stage of dieting? I know it took me 6 months of serious mental preparation before I started my journey. I think it's important to get into a healthy, postive frame of mind because weight loss can be an overwhelming undertaking.

hehe, Harpo, I thought the same thing at first, but go back and read it veeeery carefully--it says she is new here but not new to losing weight. I missed the first "to" when I first read it, too ;)

But anyway...:welcome3: Gus Gus! I know how hard it can be to try losing weight as a teen (and obviously, I was unsuccessful, since here I am today, and now I'm 23!), so I wish you the best as you work to conquer this beast with the rest of us!
