WOW!!!!!!!

Did I start something or what?

After reading all of your posts I decided that maybe I am addicted to the scale, Personally I think that is better than being addicted to food. ha-ha!

I just want to see my self @ 140 pounds again, I know I look and feel better than I did 6 months ago. And trully that is a great acomplishment for me. My husband now calls me "skinny", I have people always commenting on my new thinner body. I can ALMOST wear my old blue dress, it fits, my belly just has a little bit more shrinking to do before it will be small enough to hide in the dress.

I know I am doing great. I think I am just waiting for the day it shows a big loss.

My friends think I am just silly for stepping on it all the time. I know I personally hate the waiting game. I am a very impatient person.

Thank you all for your thoughts.

The first time I went through a major weight loss (11 years and two kids ago) I was weighed daily. A nurse did the math for the week and didn't tell me the total til Monday, BUT I kept track. Which lead to me feeling like a failure if I wasn't losing a combined total of 5lbs a week. To make a long story short I ended up losing 60lbs in a little less than 12 weeks. My hair started to fall out, my teeth where chipped and when I stood up to quickly I saw spots before my eyes. I kept about 50lbs off for 6 years or so and I weighed every day then too. So it has its good points and bad, but now I chose to weigh weekly, I don't need to see it daily. But once I'm at goal it will prolly be every other day to keep myself accountable.

I also step on the scale every day. The funny thing is that I think my scale is broken because it never says the same thing that my WI center says yet I keep getting on it. I guess it is time to get a new one or just weigh in at the center.

Stevi... you mean a plan this drastic was under medical supervision??? (Assuming that since you said a nurse was keeping track.)

Ummmmm... Yeah. Its a weight loss organization here in California, I'm not sure where else. But you have two to three Dr's on site and everyone else is at least an LVN. This was years ago though. Its still there but I'm not sure how the program might have changed. The one I was on was a "Atkins" type before its popularity. You start the diet with a three day "fast" eating and drinking only protein bars and shakes. From that point on it was only the bars and shakes and lean meat salads and veggies (only Low-carb options) Very few fruits.
