LLV- No, actually I am not a natural redhead. I did get my costmetology license after high school, so even though I don't practice it-I have perfected the art of making it look like I am a natural redhead.

The main reason I went red was because in high school I was always envious of the dark tanned/dark haired girls with the brown or hazel eyes-you know, the ones who go to the tanning bed twice and are bronzed.

Well, I was a brunette as well, but I had blue-green eyes, pale skin that freckled in the sun more than tanned, and after a few years of trying to look more like those women (tanning beds, golden highlights in my brown hair...) I decided it would be much easier to go with what nature gave me complexion-wise-and I decided to go red. It actually brought out my eye color, pale skin, and features much more than any highlighted brown hair/suntan ever could. Most people actually think I am a natural redhead, because of my skin/eye tone-so I think I made the right choice. I have been a redhead for over a decade now. And, I love being pale, and wearing green or black.

Well your color is absolutely gorgeous and I love your eyes.

I too have the pale skin, but I was fortunate enough NOT to end up plastered with freckles. I had them on my face as a kid, but as I grew older, they began to disappear.

Funny, I always wanted to be a brunette, haha.

I will be logging my food, exercise and water in my daily notebook forever. I tend to forget and have more than I should if I don't write it down. It has become second nature for me to write everything down. Plus, it keeps me honest about my weekly exercise totals and I know when to step it up a notch. I also log my weekly weight.

Smile Food journaling

I bought myself a beautiful little blank journal & I write down everything I eat, every day since I started this journey. It keeps me accountable & aware of what I've eaten. It also helps me keep track of how certain foods effect my energy level & moods (related to sugar problems I have). I never leave home without it.

I lost 25+ pounds a few years ago using food journaling & calorie counting years ago & I think I regained it all (plus more) partly because I stopped food journaling. I plan to continue writing everything down from now on.

Yep, me too

I was getting tired of counting calories, so I took a break from it. But when I wasn't doing it, I missed it.

I guess you sometimes have to back off of something for a while in order to appreciate it more.
