kierr-glad you are jumping right back in there. keep it up!! aimee-so I take it your not doing good on your eating?? don't giveup. pretty soon you'll be eating healthy and you won't even know it!!! That goes to all you crappy food eaters!!! I actually had a successful day yesterday with food. Woohoo. Now to just get my excercise in. I guess one thing at a time. Hi! I'm also new and I will take you all up on the July 4 Challenge. This will be my first official challenge through 3FC. I had a personal mini-goal which I surpassed for Memorial Day by two pounds, but I would really like to lose 6 pounds by July 4. The only thing is I've been averaging about a pound a week lately, and my loss has really slowed down since the beginning of January. I am about half way to goal, so I'm pumping myself up that my loss might come in increments of quarter to half, instead of 1-2 full pounds each week, so I won't be disappointed and find excuses to go back to my wayward ways. I definitely need to work on the exercise part of my new lifestyle. Maybe this challenge will help me to lose the overachieving 6 pounds that I want for the 4th of July! So count me in; I can really use the accountability!!

Rosario- Just noticed that you live in HOTlanta. The last few days here have lived up to our name (Temps low-mid 90s). I've lived in Georgia my entire life, marrying my HS sweetheart (he's just a husband now-LOL). If you don't mind, where in Atlanta do you live? Downtown, midtown, suburb?

welcome softballmom!! I'm in lawrenceville. my bf used to work in smyrna. yes we have been having hot, hot weather. i love the summer, but i forgot how much i hate georgia summers. too sticky and too humid. i'm from los angeles, so at least when it got hot, the beach was 20 minutes away. now i'd have to drive at least 6 hours to get my butt to the beach. bummer!!

Today is day 2 of healthy eating!! It's not PERFECT eating, but it's much better, well within my calories and fat grams I allow myself. I decided that starting on Saturday I am going to eat lower carb for one week, I've probably mentioned this before.. I think the week will kinda boost my body into weight loss mode, and maybe it'll help me cut back on that bread and pasta stuff!
Courtnie - I really have no idea how you get up early in the morning to exercise! I think I am just lucky to have my bf coming to exercise with me, it's like our bonding time at night :) Thank goodness, cuz my body doesn't like being awake earlier than 8am!! The scale said 232 still this morning.. I've only got 1 full day left until weigh in, and I reallly wanna get into my 3rd 10 pound goal!! Sooo badly! heh. -Aimee |

Aimee-so how did weigh-in go?? did u make your goal?? btw, morning workouts rock. I've done them only a couple of times and they just make you feel good. you feel awesome because u know you've already got your excercise done for the day. I only wish I could wake up early enough to get them done. courtnie-lucky u. u don't wake up ur bf with your workouts? i would have to go outside because a)my bf doesn't like to be woken up and b)his parents are staying in our spare room which is right off of the living room so I can't do it in there. Too bad our community gym sucks and nothing works. I really have to look into getiing my own bike/treadmill/elliptical! i wieghed myslef this morning (bad, i know) and i was still at 228. that's good, i guess no gain. The real test will be Monday after I get back from my weekend partying in LA. That is my weigh-in and we'll see if the scale goes down. I hope to God it does!! |
Rosario - just drink low fat alcohol drinks! heh.. rum and coke, gin and tonic, gin and juice! Vodka and oj is even better than most of those mixed drinks. Tomorrow is my weigh in.. I peaked this morning tho... looks like i'm down 1 pound. Fingers crossed for more tomorrow tho!!

courtnie-ooh...you might be moving into a condo? i remember how happy i was when we moved into our apartment. coolest feeling in the world. I am going to try to get up early next week. I'll try walking/running around the tennis courts. Hopefull that'll work for me.

Right now we are living in my Bf's aunt basement suite, it is okay except... well... except the people who live upstairs! ARGH! The house was built really crappy so you can hear everything - even the cats walking on the floor! Nothing in our place is straight, looks like someone made it with their eyes closed. I mean we painted and everything before we moved it and we get cheap rent and it looks nice. But I am SO SICK of the noise and banging on our door and bugging us. And the fact that they do 20 loads of laundry a week - at least the stopped walking thru our place with it. But still everytime I want to do laundry I have to swim thru the piles on the floor and then take the stuff out of the dryer and the washer, etc. So yah, I will be happy to move! The rent will be more, but I hope we get this new place! My step dad is buying it and then we will rent and it will have a BEAUTIFUL ocean view. So ladys, keep your fingers crossed for me! I should know today I hope! We are just waiting to see if they accept the offer he made.
