  • I am feeling a little down and out and thought I would whine a little. My birthday is next tuesday and my In-laws have always gotten together to celebrate it the weekend closest to it, which is this weekend. Well it is friday night and nobody has mentioned it. I know it is petty, but my feelings are hurt. My mom hasn't even mentioned it. My sister is mad at my mom and I and she hasn't said anything either. My husband wants to do something but we are broke!! I don't want anything, it is the only special occasion of the year that I don't have to run around finding the perfect gift for someone. Makes me want to quit spending all the time and money that I do running around for everyone else's birthday, christmas, mothers day ect.... Heck last weekend I threw a bridal shower for my MIL, (her second wedding) and I made sure to get her something nice for Mothers day also and she usually does something small for me in return and I got nothing, not even a happy mothers day wish when we called her. Oh well, just a crappy night for me! Thanks for listening.
  • Wishing you a HAPPY BIRTHDAY
  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Sorry to hear that you are feeling down, try to have a good weekend.
  • Thank you!! I am going to put my oldest son to bed and enjoy a quiet night alone. Dang, no ice cream to pig out on!!! (like I need it anyway!)
  • Sorry to hear you are feeling blue - here's a happy Birthday wish from me

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

  • Hugs to you! It's hard to be overlooked, even when we're adults. My sister's birthday is the day after mine & she always felt ignored because my parents had double parties on the same day for us. Problem is, she never said anything to anyone until she was an adult. Now I always remember to send her flowers (we don't live near each other) & a gift & I call her. It wasn't intentional on my parents' part, they didn't realize how she felt.If your birthday comes & goes without a phone call or little memento, maybe you could mention how hurt you are? Sometimes people are too busy to think of others' feelings especially on special occasions.
  • Happy Birthday to you!
    Happy Birthday to you!
    Happy Birthday, dear Mom2Cole
    Happy Birthday to YOUUUUUUUUUUUUU!

Let's have a toast to Mom2Cole, our Happy Birthday Queen for Tuesday!!!

    From us, your 3FC family!

    Hope you feel better, dear!
  • Sorry you're having a downer time right now. I think it's terrible that EVERYONE didn't think of you after you have done so much for them! I would think twice the next time something comes up with one if them, and maybe this time you can be busy or maybe just kinda forget! I noticed you're from Oregon; I am too.
  • Happy Birthday, sorry you are so down. Cheer up and remember all the good wishes from those of us here at 3FC.
  • I am SOOO sorry! That really bites.

    Well,
    HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!!
  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!! Sorry to hear about your crappy birthday!
  • I am so sorry to hear that!

But, I wish you a happy birthday despite it all.
  • Happy birthday!! I know where you are coming from but don't worry about it -- you are special no matter if they mention it or not!
  • You mentioned that you threw a bridal shower for your MIL last weekend. Perhaps she is busy with wedding plans and has forgotten. It may be something innocent enough like that. I'm not making excuses for her, but she may feel awful when she remembers.

I am going to look on the positive side and I hope that they have some kind of surprise planned for you.

If not... I hope you still find some way to make your birthday special.

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY FOR TUESDAY!!!!!!!
