Don't get me wrong, I can get wonderful, healthy things there to eat - which I plan to do. But one of the thing she told us is that she's going to get us all a...
STICKY BUN!!
Forgive me for being sorta naive (at this age) but I had no idea what a sticky bun was. So, thinking it was sort of a dessert/donut - I'm thinking to myself, I could have a bite and it shouldn't cause me to have any trouble. But after I google a recipe for a sticky bun I was DYING when I saw that one sticky bun (and believe me, I know that the Faculty Club is not going to skimp on the size or ingredients of this item) has about 1,178 calories. It's sounds sooo good - made with pecans and hot, soft and fragrant bread with a sweet gloss. (I'm evidently doing my TOM right now). Sorry to drive anyone crazy with the description.
Already I'm stressing
bigtime over this situation and I've been craving that silly thing, too, and I've never even had one before! I think it was because that's all we talked about today. And believe it or not, I've not been in a restaurant since January 1. I've been doing my own thing, food wise, and I've lost about 20 lbs since then. I'm not sure I'm ready to go into a restaurant and not pig out - although my pig out won't be all that extensive.I'm thisclose to calling in sick tomorrow so I don't have to deal with this crap. But I just can't - I have my spinning class at 4 to 5 and my water aerobics from 5:30 - 6:30.
Oh well, thanks for letting me get this off my chest - and I'd sure appreciate any advice ....

Maybe you could arrange to share one with someone else (or several people)... or just try it, enjoy a little piece and then tell everyone you are going to take the rest home and secretly throw it out or give it away.
to have it because for one thing, it's not healthy for my 'new' body, and another it would make my workout to be for naught'. And the name of the game we are all playing is to be healthier. It's just not worth it to give in.
