Advice?
 
I've been trying to figure out what my "ideal weight" is...it's been very frustrating. I'm 18, 5'8, and 149lbs. I was down to 127 before Christmas but all of the holiday foods (Christmas, Valentine's, Easter) got me really offtrack. Anyway, I'm pretty sure I would like to weigh 130 (when I did I wore a size 3 in jeans) but my family members are pressuring me to eat and they most definitely don't want me to get back to 130. They said when I weighed 170 (I started off at 210, btw) I looked good. They don't realize that 130 is perfectly healthy and that 170 is overweight. They are all very overweight so I suppose their perception of "normal" is a bit "different" I don't know what to aim for, and I don't know how to deal with them trying to sabotage me (buying all of my favorite junk foods for me even though I tell them not to) and their negative comments about how I'm too skinny, when obviously I'm not.

So, could I get advice on how to deal with them and what weight to aim for? :?:

This chart might be handy for you. It helps to first determine the size of your frame (there are directions beneath the chart).

I am 5'7" around 130 lbs and have a small frame. I think this weight looks great :)

That's not necessarily true, depending on your body type. I am 5'9 and 130 would be an absolute stick for me and very unhealthy... 170 is "perfect" if I am toned and in shape. Yes, I know the weight chart says it is overweight but not all of us are built like our American "beanpole" society would like for us to be.

But if you are built small... which sounds like it if you were a size 3... you will just have to be strong and not let them convince you to eat stuff you don't want and try to be positive and let them know you are doing just great!
