Default Help!!!

I have done so bad this week!! It's been a weird week with my regular babysitter being out of town, and me having to work late two evenings. I have gotten so far off schedule, it's not even funny!!! I haven't worked out at all this week and my diet....that's a laugh! And just last week was my starting over week. I feel so bad right now. This is what always happens..... I start out with the best of intentions. Always so gung-ho. "Oh this time will be different! This is the time that I'll make it happen and lose all this weight!" And just like all the other times, I do something to screw up and then just give up completely. I haven't even weighed myself in the past couple days, because I know the weight that I've lost has probably come back!

I just want to cry!!

What do I do??? I have to do something to break this stupid cycle!!! Or am I just that pathetic??? No, don't answer that. I don't think I want to hear the answer!

I have to be zen with my diet--everyday is a new day, so don't worry about last week or the week before that. I agree, write it down in a notebook, and then move on. There's no limit to the amount of times you can "start over." The important thing is to always continue to the best of your abilities. You can do it, so be kind to yourself.

Can you do it today??? Can you just do it today???? Then do it today, and let tomorrow take care of itself. Don't pay attention to what was yesterday...make your choices as they come today and pat yourself on the back each time you make the healthy decision. You are worth it and you deserve it. Take care of yourself.....today....

So many of us get to where we are because we have all or nothing outlooks on our diet and exercise habits. Perhaps you could give yourself some flexibility by perhaps setting up a tier system that takes into account other things that are going on in your life.

For example,

Tier 1 - Life is perfect, everything is going smoothly - Calories at X (or whatever plan you do), 30 minutes of exercise 5 times a week, 8 glasses of water a day, etc. . . .

Tier 2 - Things are rough, time is tight - Calories at X - give or take 100, 30 minutes of exercise 3 times a week, 6 glasses of water a day, etc . . .

Tier 3 - All **** is breaking loose, I can barely cope - Try to make healthier choices (ie skip fast food), 10 minutes of exercise 3 times a week, try to drink some water, etc. . .

All of those were just examples, but you know what I mean. Life happens - with jobs, kids, spouses, everything life almost never goes as we plan. But just making a few healthier choices can make all the difference between falling off track or holding on long enough to get back on when things quiet down. Cut yourself some slack - you are definitely not pathetic.

Keep trying. Do not let a day go by that yu do not assess the good things you've done and find a little something to do better the next day.
And before temptation drags you backward .... read a little at 3fc.
I agree with Leight (that unicorn lady ) .... try a daily accountability thread. Plan tomorrow.

It is so hard when you get stuck in a rut; that's how I'm feeling right now, too. I was doing really well and now I just feel like everything is harder! Two weeks ago I wasn't thinking all the time about food and now it seems like that's all I think about!

Just go slowly and don't beat yourself up. It takes a long time to make changes that stick and every little thing you change about your habits can help in the long run. Remember that even if you fall off the wagon today, tomorrow is brand new and you can start all over again. One day at a time!
