Just to clarify, when I said you shouldn't have "good and bad days" it wasn't to imply that some days are better than others in terms of how well you eat, exercise etc. My point was to get away from the black and white thinking - of eating perfectly one day (good) and then letting it all go the next day (bad) or next week. Yes, some days you do better at avoiding temptation and not over eating - but it doesn't need to be all or nothing. Every day for me is a little less than perfect - but over time I'm eating much, much less, and much, much better.

I totally agree. "All or nothing" mentality (which I'm prone to) leads to yo-yo big time. You have no idea how discouraging it was to realize I'm 40lbs heavier than the thinnest I got the last time. I worked so hard. Now I have to again. This time I won't let that "all or nothing" mentality get me. No more, "Oh well, it's too hard through the holidays." or "Oh well, when you're camping you have to eat hot dogs!" or "I've done so bad this week. I might as well wait and start on Monday. This week is already blown" Over a year and a half that added almost 40lbs to my body and destroyed a year of hard work and achievement. NEVER AGAIN! Just because I made one bad choice doesn't mean I have liscense to make 30 more!
