When you reach your target

What would you do when you have reached your desired amount of weight loss? Would you celebrate, if so how? I have been wanting a tattoo for years, but I would never get one as I am now, that is what I am going to do.

tipsygypsy 01-08-2006 07:58 AM

I am going to have FUN. Dress beautifully, dance all I want without feeling self-conscious about the fat flying everywhere...just live, you know?

srmb60 01-08-2006 11:00 AM

I like new underwear as rewards.

lateralus98 01-08-2006 11:17 AM

I'm saving up to buy a new wardrobe.

With all the weight I've lost, I've only bought 2 new pairs of jeans (which are too big now) and two shirts. I've been waiting until I've reached target to go nuts! :)

ooelsworth 01-08-2006 01:04 PM

Well I already have 3 tattoos, I am somehow a clothes horse, so i don't think I'll need to buy a whole new wardrobe, it'll already be done. My reward is gonna be a belly button ring. Always wanted one, just hope it won't be weird because I'll be too old to pull it off.

SusanB.....I just bought me new undies because the ones I had were sliding down each time I took a step. LOL! :dizzy: But I am getting my belly button peirced with my daughter on her 16 b-day. That's August 12 of this year. I also want a small tattoo of an emerald dragonfly above my bellybutton to cover a surgical scar.

I did get a tattoo :) It's a Chinese proverb written with 4 Traditional Chinese characters that states, "Dripping water can eat through stone." It's to remind me that perserverance is key, and all the little changes I made to be a healthier person. It's in the middle of my back, between my shoulder blades, about 3.5 inches long (easy to hide for work :) ).

Not sure, I haven't really thought about it. Maybe buy some nice clothes.

When and if I do make it to 133 (actually I'm just aiming for staying in between 130 and 135, I don't want to kill myself trying to stay at a certain number) and I can up my calories a little to maintain, I'd like to go out to dinner to a nice restaurant with my husband.

Uhh, wearing the new clothes ;)

lcullifer 01-08-2006 04:18 PM

I want to buy a smoking hot bikini and go to the beach. Then, I want to buy some sexy lingerie and do a fashion show for my bf.

josie4 01-08-2006 04:34 PM

Reaching my goal will be enough for me. :)

purplecrush 01-08-2006 04:42 PM

First, I want to get a makeover, with a new haircut/style/color. Then go to NY, drop my kids off with their dad and walk away with his tongue hanging out LOL:devil:
I know thats horrible, but I totally think that all that hard work I did to lose all that weight, I can get in a little revenge hehe.:D
I already have a tattoo, but maybe I might get another one, they are addicting.

Good luck to everyone!

TBJ333 01-08-2006 04:50 PM

BUY SOME CLOTHES! :lol3:

I have a piggy bank for saving money... every day that I stay OP, I contribute $2 to the bank. :p I'm planning on shopping at 149 lbs., 145, and then 135. :D

yukimfat 01-08-2006 05:06 PM

I would like to have a spa day. Other than that, I don't really know. Since I have never been a healthy weight, I am having trouble imagining it. (not having any trouble wanting it though. :lol

DonnaS 01-08-2006 06:32 PM

Shopping spree, I'm going to weigh myself every week, for every pound that I lose, $10 goes into a jar, once I've lost all my weight, I've got the money to start a pretty decent wardrobe.

luey 01-08-2006 07:24 PM

It's a belly button ring for me too. Sexy, displays the flat belly, and modestly cheap.

MadamePJ 01-08-2006 07:32 PM

I will be getting a tattoo and a well deserved belly piercing ... Definitely going to arrange for a nice trip or outing somewhere beautiful full of fun, music, and my best friends :D

racegirl78 01-08-2006 07:55 PM

I am going to the beach for a long weekend and strut around in clothes way "too young" for me :D And get only a temporary tattoo as i am a wimp

Sheri~C 01-08-2006 09:40 PM

Any thoughts I have about reaching goal are all about continued exercise to bring my body to it's best possible condition. I want to be as fit as I can be before I turn 50 and then I want to start ballroom dance lessons.

tipsygypsy 01-08-2006 11:55 PM

A few of y'all have reminded me; I had thought of getting my belly button pierced, but I have a scar there from laparoscopic gall-bladder removal surgery, so I dunno. I don't know if it will ever fade enough for me to feel comfortable drawing attention to that area. :(

Altari 01-09-2006 12:04 AM

I am getting an amazingly cute, short hair cut. I've been wearing my hair shoulder length like a grade schooler for three years now because I don't want it long, but if I chop it off, my face will look even fatter! :(

Also, this is my 'actual' reward, I've gotten spousal authorization to max out my AND his Express credit cards on a new wardrobe. That's like...$1200 for new clothes. I think he only agreed because I've been a chronic dieter and he doesn't think I can do it. I'm determined though...

How big is your scar? I had my gallbladder removed as well, after my second daughter was born, and my scar is almost unnoticeable. It might just blend into all the preggo stretch marks though. :dizzy:

I say go for it. And if anyone mentions the scar, say you got it when you were jumped in a dark alley and had to fight for your life. :o

Less_of_Me_to_Love 01-09-2006 12:16 AM

Hubby promised me a shopping spree when I finally hit my goal!! (Although he hasn't yet put a price limit on it...)

Although for myself, I'm going to Vegas, with a suitcase of cutesie outfits! (And hubby can come along if he's nice ;)!)

NowOrNever! 01-09-2006 12:20 AM

This is such a great thread! I'm still mulling things over because there are always the "obvious" things like the swimsuit (omg, you mean I don't have to buy a BLACK one with a stupid skirt on it?) and CLOTHES....but I feel like having to just THINK about this is making me really consider some of the larger issues around what the weight loss means to me. Like...if there are some activities or things that I would want to do then, why am I not pursuing them now?
