Starting fresh!!!

Hi all -

I'm new here, and I am starting fresh on a diet!

I quit smoking at the end of November, and now that I have that under control, I decided that I need to start back on a diet.

My highest weight has been 211 lbs.

My lowest since the 211, has been 188. I slowly gained some weight, and then all of a sudden I noticed I was almost back where I started. So - now I really need to lost the weight again!! Plus go back down to 160.

I am currently trying to get pregnant, and since I have had trouble with pregnancies in the past, I can't keep up even a work out routine while pregnant... so I really need to get jumping before I am pregnant, and gain a 100 gazillion lbs! ;)

Anyway - looks like a great site - I'm very motivated, and this may be just what I need!

As long as you are following a well balanced sensible eating plan and exersising at least 4 to 5 times a week for more that 30 to 45 minutes you can lose the weight. But if your not eating right and not moving its not going to happen. You have given up the smoking and you did that you can do this. ;)

Hi Jenny :) I'm right there w/ ya. I have 2 wonderful kids who were both preemies, and just had a miscarriage at the end of august. I decided then that it was time to get my weight undercontrol once and for all. So I am now currently taking Yasmin b/c pills and putting off ttc until i get down to my goal weight. Like you, activity is pretty much out after i get pg again, so I want to be as fit as possible before then.

Good luck w/ your weight loss, this is a wonderful place for support :)

BTW: Cute pooch in your avatar

Amanda  I'm so sorry to hear of your loss... I have had 2, and know how painful it is - I had my uterus remodeled, and know the next one won't be a loss - so there are many plans for my new year!

I'm at the point where I am 29, and if I get pregnant while losing weight - I'm fine with that - but until I get that positive test, I'm going to work my hardest to eat right, and work out!! Then I'll move on and continue to eat right during pregnancy.

Anyway - whole TTC thing aside - I've been working out, and eating right together since yesterday. Started working out Monday. DH is trying to eat right with me - so that helps!!
