Food Tracker?

Does anyone know a good food tracker that is free? The only one i know of is fitday....but they dont have a very wide variety of foods. If anyone has any other better sites please let me know. Thanks guys!

The only other one I have seen is nutridiary, but from what I could tell, their list was just about identical to fitday's. Fitday may have more than you think--sometimes you have to mess around with the words in order to find exactly what you're looking for. For example, if I look up "strawberries," I can't find what I want (frozen whole strawberries), but if I look up "strawberry," there it is. Also, you can add your own custom foods. I have TONS of custom foods added, and yes, it is tedious and takes a bit of time, but once you've got in the foods that you eat regularly, you never have to do them again. I still think it beats writing everything outon paper :D Good luck!

from what I can tell, fitday and nutridiary have the same lists (though nutridiary uses weights for many more of its foods -- giving both sizes and weights for bananas for instance, and my memory is that fitday doesn't).

However, you can pay a yearly fee for nutridiary (20) to have the expanded list with lots of restaurant items. From what I can tell, these are the same items on dietfacts website... so you could also look them up there and then enter into either fitday or nutridiary for free.

Jill's right that it takes some work to get used to either one, but I would REALLY recommend it! (finding "pasta" and "pasta sauce" didn't work, but macaroni and spaghetti sauce do!)

Both of these are quite good, but i've found one called nutracheck, its free for 5 days I think. You can download a program onto your mobile phone (which I think doesnt expire) which tracks your food and exercise as well as doing it on the web. This is useful as if your in a restaurant you can add the food without going to your PC!

I use fitday as well and Jill is right, sometimes you have to play around with words to find what you're looking for. Most of my foods are custom-entered, though. I have a huge list of custom foods.

The only thing I don't like about fitday is you can't customize the look and change to something other than those dull colors. Not that it's anything significant compared to the REAL reason I use it, but it sure would be nice ;)

I use Fitday. Now that just about everything I eat is in it's pretty easy!

I use calories-count.com, too. Where can I find the Fitday? I never heard about it before.

I use FitDay also. If I can not find the nutrtional value of what I am looking for I use CalorieKing to find it and put it in Fit Day. Good Luck.
