don't trust scales made for dogs :-)

This thread doesn't belong in "Support" but I wasn't sure where else to put it and thought we could all vent about scales here if we wanted to :D .

LOL...so I weighed myself on the dog scale at work today (just for kicks). Hee hee...and I was 150 lbs!!! Which means, of course, that I'd gained 9 lbs in about 3 hours :D .

The scale at the gym and the one I my house have both had me at 141 lbs for about 2 weeks. So another tech threw a 5-lb bag of dog food on the scale and it weighed in at 14.5 lbs. THANK GOODNESS :dizzy: . But (of course) this also means that every dog we've weighed in the last few days (weeks?) has been "heavier" than they really are.

The lesson?

Pick one scale and stick to it...and don't weigh yourself at the vet's office ;) (not that you WOULD!)

You crack me up, Kate!!! :lol3:

I'm thinking maybe I'll see if I can get Dobie to sit very carefully on my scale. See how much he really weighs.

LOL...it was a slow day at work, obviously :D . But at least I didn't climb up onto the counter and try the CAT scale  .
