Hi all... between traveling and computer problems, I haven't been able to be on as much as I wanted. But all is settled now. I can see there were a lot of calls for help over the past few days. I hope you all got through whatever challenges you were facing at the time, and I wish I could have been on of the people who was there with support!

Well, I gave in today and joined Weight Watchers. I didn't want to. I wanted to be one of those people who do it on their own. But last Saturday, the day I started my lifestyle change, I was in my car on the way to join WW when I decided to go it alone for a week and see what happened. Well, I did OK for a couple of days. Like surviving that big Father's Day feast, but around Wednesday I took a nose dive. Ate great all day, then pigged out at night. Telling myself, I needed more calories or my metabolism would slow down. Well, the calories came in the form of caramels and chips and all sorts of crap. Don't know what happened to my resolve.

So, as of my official WW weigh in this morning, I'm at the same weight I was last Saturday, which is good I guess.

I'm ready to lose weight, but I guess I'm not yet ready to wing it. I'm hoping the structure of WW will help me stay on track. Plus I like that there are guidelines as to portion sizes and parameters for guaging food intake.

I love to hear from anyone here who is doing WW.

Welcome Back Maggie! There's quite an active WW forum here..Core and Flex... Lots of AWESOME receipes too. I'm on South Beach, but surf most of the forums and regularly drop by WW to check out their goings on...

You might want to visit www.dietpower.com or www.fitday.com if you are interested in planning and logging your food, calories, and exercise....
