So dissapointing

So, I have NOT cheated at all lately. So HOW have I gone from a consistent 147 to 149 the past few dys? i know I'm going to fluctuate, but I REALLY hve been good lately, so why am I going UP instead of down? UHhhhhhh. Geez. sorry, my rant for the day. I hope everyone's weigh ins are going better!

hey lauren,

i know how you feel, i have been 123 for the past week and all of a sudden this morning i was 124. i get like this often though....this may be TMI but i know if i need to have a bowel movement, my weight wil fluctuate like that...or if i'm aproaching my period. i find that if i have a bowel movement then my weight goes back to normal. weird i know. sorry if it's too much info :)

Have you been working out? It could be that you are gaining muscle which is great. Or maybe it could be TOM or like Beagle mentioned a needed BM.

Could it possibly be the type of food your eating? Some foods are higher in sodium which causes you to retain more water weight.....

I don't think you have to worry too much though......but if your weight continues to creep up, then it's just time to re-evalute the foods your eating and how much exercises your doing.

Just keep up the good work and don't forget....that it's ok to snack as long as it's healthy choice.

Keep us posted on how you're doing!

This is exactly why you shouldn't weigh yourself very often. All you'll end up doing is making yourself crazy. I would recommend only weighing yourself every 2 weeks. Something that helps me is not to rely on the number on the scale, it doesn't really mean anything. So instead I track my progress by taking my measurements and tracking my bodyfat. Even with that I only do it every few weeks. Progress takes time, changes don't happen overnight, no matter how much we wish they would.

This is perfectly normal. I still weigh daily and just yesterday morning my scale showed a 2 lb. jump overnight. My initial reaction, of course, was "wha hoppin" :?: Then the logical side kicked in and I reminded myself that weight fluctuates wildly based on various factors. My guess is it was probably too much sodium. So I kept cool, and just went on about my business, knowing that I hadn't actually done anything to gain 2 lbs. of fat overnight. This morning?... Poof, those extra 2 lbs. were gone and all was well. The point is, you just gotta keep going. Don't beat yourself up, don't let yourself freak out and throw in the towel, cause where's that gonna leave you? With another gain on the scale, except this one will count! This is an every day process and we gotta either take it or leave it, even with all of it's ups and downs. Remember, you can do this, so don't let life trip you up. Good luck! :D
