Help on starting over

Well let me start by saying that I am new to this board.
I was posting on another board but I did not feel like people were really helping.
Anyway, I am 30 yrs old, I am 5'6" and I weigh 157lbs.
I have one child and before him I was 145 lbs.
I have all these clothes that I can't fit in but will NOT get rid of.
I need advice on what to eat, what kind of exercise to do and just some support.
I was exercising 3-4 days a week.
With working retail and the holidays I have not had time.
I do intend to start again this Thursday by going to the gym after work.
:)

Hi there! What kind of foods and activities do you like? You have so many options, but I would recommend choosing a plan that looks like something close to what you could eat for the rest of your life. If you don't like restrictions of what kind of food to eat, I would recommend WW. It is more about portion control instead of saying no to certain foods.

In my opinion, you should definitely have a combination of cardio and weights. I would recommend the Ladies Who Lift forum here on 3FC. Lifting weights is a wonderful way to boost your metabolism, and lifting doesn't mean gaining bulk.

Congrats in making it through the holidays in the retail field. You must have nerves of steel! :)
