Afternoon Fellow-Chickettes!

RalphMarie – Okie I just wanted to make sure I was correct unless there was something different I had to do. Hmmm…. I’ll have to see if I can find that book on ebay. I’m looking into getting Dr. Phil’s Weight Loss Solution’s book. Still debating on it.

And yes Crainsin’s Dried Cranberry looks like a raisin, Ocean Spray makes the brand Craisins… yum!

Jaime – I take Women’s 1-A-Day to supplement me during my diet. To replenish whatever it is I am loosing by cutting back on foods.

Been a busy day… trying to keep on track with eating… seems like the busier the day the more I can control my eating… which is why weekends are evil LOL

Sue…

Hello

Hi all, Hope you all had a good weekend. Sounds like it. I'm still recouping. Tired. I ate too much this weekend but I'm back on track today. So I'm happy. It's gonna happen. I'm not perfect. But anyhow, Will check in later, my brain is still kinda numb. Hee Hee. Take care.

Hello everyone, again... :) well I am back from shopping and did good, I have to shop on a budget which I am sure everyone understands. So I got TONS of fresh fruit and vegies, I think I cleared out the produce section he he he, I took my boyfriend with me, and even though he's not on a "diet" (I dont like calling it that) he didnt want any junk food or stuff either, he said " why do i need it, how is that supporting you?" he is such a sweetie. So I bought all good stuff and not one junkie thing, so now there isnt even a temptation in the house....which is probably the only way I will form this "habit" :D I used to think it would be more expensive to eat healthy but it was around the same price I usually spend, so that was nice. Then I made a pretty fruit bowl for my kitchen full of fresh fruits and that way if I get hungry and walk into the kitchen thats the first thing i will see.

Thanks for the reminder about the multi-vitamin, I bought some a awhile back and never took them daily, so now I will start another morning ritual of taking my vitamins and eating breakfast no matter how much I would rather sleep....he he he....talk to you all soon, Jamie

Hey ladies! Well, I almost slipped up today but my hubby saved me...I practically begged him to go out and get me ice cream because I was craving it so bad---by the way, that is one of my big downfalls. Anyway, he went out, but instead of ice cream, he brought me home some sugar free fudge bars--only 45 calories for one... I was very grateful he didn't buy ice cream like I requested, I only would have binged! I love him so much!! Anyway, I ate 4 of them---yes 4! Anyway, even at 4, it was still less than 200 calories which still only left me with eating only 1200 calories for the day *whew*

A small disaster averted!!

The only "challenge" I have now is going to be Thursday, which is my birthday. My mom is taking me out to lunch, and I have absolute little to no self control when it comes to eating out. I told my hubby that I don't want to go out to dinner for that very reason, but my Mom wanted to be nice and take me out to lunch... I always promise myself that I won't go overboard, order a salad, whatever, but I always wind up eating way too much and regretting it later. I am starting now though, preparing myself for lunch on Thursday. My plan of action is to eat a late breakfast, and drink about a gallon of water before we go to lunch so I'll feel fuller...

Anyway, one day at a time...that's what I keep telling myself!!
Yay though, I have stayed on my plan for a week already! Only 347320947203974 weeks to go!
Take care gals, have a great night!

first of all, what a great hubby!!!! That is so awesome that he went and got you the treat you wanted so badly, but got you one that you wouldn't feel bad about later, that is just wonderful that he is supporting you like this. AND As for the eating out on your birthday, I have a few different ideas for you. One, is your mom giving you a choice as to where you'd like to go? Try a little outdoor cafe or bagel shoppe type of place, where you can sit outside and feel the wonderful spring air, and enjoy the sunshine with your mom. Maybe if you're sitting in a place that FEELS healthy, you'll want to leave still feeling healthy. If that's not an option, here's another idea..I have seen my mom do this, and it works. Order your food, whatever it is you are just dying to have, cut it in half, put the other half on a seperate plate, and salt the holy living crap out of it! I mean, PILE on the salt...it will be inedible that way, and you won't be ABLE to eat it. Or, if that feels far too wasteful, ask for your doggy bag at the start of the meal, and put your second half portion aside before you even start. Take it home, and eat it the next day....or even better, share it with hubby, or send it home with mom to her house. Does your mom know about your losing weight? Is she supportive of it? If so, she'll understand if you just tell her " Mom, you know I'm really trying hard to loose this extra wieght, why don't we go get a yogurt and take a walk together, I would enjoy that so much, it would be such a great way to celebrate my birthday and start this next year of my life."

Ok, those are all the suggestions I have, good luck!

Lisa
