thought i did so good this week *sniff*
i have been following my diet so strictly this week, making sure i take in 96 ounces plus of water, doing exercises, working my a$$ off around the house...i weighed myself today and i'm still where i was last friday.
this could only be due to starting my period yesterday. my legs feel puffy so i'm sure that is where the bloat is but still. this feels really defeating. i thought i'd lost a lot since last friday and i broke down and cried in front of my husband when he told me what the scale said. i'm not going to give up but i still feel terrible. cheers, sam |
No worries!
A lot of women GAIN durring a period so the fact that you stayed level is great! Give it some more time and I'm sure you'll be rewarded later when the bloat goes away. |
Just remember that muscle weighs more than fat so just because your scale didn't change doesn't mean your body didn't. Are you taking your measurements? That is a better indication of the changes your body is going through. You can also start monitoring your body fat as well.
If it says anything last week I gained the 3 pounds I had lost from the week before but I've lost 4.5 inches in the past 2 weeks and my clothes are feeling much looser. |
things are looking up!!!
i weighed myself this morning and i'm down 2 pounds!!! that was after a weekend of being Not So Good ;) i found fitday so i feel really set now to watch what i'm doing and keep better track of goals and progress. i dont' know how but my husband lost nearly 10 pounds in the last 1.5 weeks. it's great to do this with someone, especially someone who loves me as much as he does.

That's great Bookworm, congrats on those 2 pounds :)
Barbygirl, I love that chicken avatar you have. |
That's great to hear Samantha. Just don't get discourage as your hubby continues to drop weight more quickly than you. Men tend to lose weight more quicklly than women.
Thank you Lynne. If you go up to the top to the user CP you can give yourself a signature at the bottom and put an avatar under your name (like the chickie) |
thanks for the support guys :) husband and i bought the fitday software because of the extra features. we both set weight goals and love the way that it sets up calories for the day to get you to that goal. hopefully, i will meet my first goal, which is to be down to 300 on my birthday. that is august 30, 2004. it says that i need to eat 2250 in calories everyday to do that but i can't eat that much on must days and i dont' really want to. i'm eating roughly 1700 a day and getting in 20 minutes on the gazelle.
cheers, samantha |
