Spryng to add color you put this ---> color=red (or what ever color)<--- inside [] BEFORE the words you want in color. then after the words you want in color you put this ---> /color<--- again inside [] Make sure you use the square brackets!!!
I am still waiting!! THe Dr called while I was at the gym!!! I called back, but he was still seeing patients.. so I am hoping he will call soon! He sounded really concerned though on the message! I will keep you all posted.. BTW, Spryng.. How is you FIL? |
Thanks Emily and Karen for the color tips. I knew how to get color when I posted but had no idea how to get it in my signature. Thanks Karen.
Hopefully that doctor calls you soon. I am such an impatient person.. I hate waiting for anyone. I'm still waiting to hear news on FIL too. I don't know if he's having the surgery today or not. They said if they could fit him in today they'd do it today... but if not then tomorrow. But no one has called to let me know... so I'm waiting. ok, guess I'll get off here. I ate lunch a couple of hours ago but I feel like I am starving for some reason. So I need to go find a low pt snack. TTYL! |
I am utterly exhausted (worked last night) and am on my own tonight with the kids, as dh is out with "the guys" to the movies. I am getting ready to take them out to eat, since it is easier than trying to come up with something to cook and dealing with them all through the "Witching hours". But I wanted to pop in and let everyne know I am thinking of them today..... especially Spryng and her family, Michele and the baby, and Karen with her pain.
Take care ladies....... I will be back tomorrow, after sleep........ :) |
I haven't been feeling too sporty today but I have logged on a couple times to see how everyone was doing:
Spryng, hoping everything works out with your FIL. I told my DH about your MIL and he said, "Which hospital is he at? We'll go see him!" It really upset him that a wife could treat a husband that way, especially when I told him how long they had been married! I hope she comes to her senses before it is too late! Karen, so sorry to hear about your TOM troubles. If it is any consolation, I work for a gyn/oncologist, and often those types of problems turn out to be fibroids or some other benign problem. Painful but treatable. Hope you hear some good news back from the doctor. I know personally now frustrating it can be to have something wrong with no solution! Michele, Hope that baby holds out for better weather. You can't wait for them to come, then you need just a litttle more time. Babies never seem to cooperate. After that baby boy's been here for a bit, I'd like to pick your brain on the pros and cons of having a third. I am seriously considering it next year! To everyone else, have a great night and be safe. Since I wasn't feeling well today, I didn't get any exercise but I didn't eat a whole lot either so hopefully I won't be messed up too bad for the week. Hope to be feeling better tomorrow as I have a gyn appt in the morning :o and have to take the kiddos out to the country for my DM to watch. Can't wait until we get our house in the country built. Then I will only be 2 min from DMIL and 5 minutes from DM. I can't wait! :) Good night all!!! |
Good evening all!
Well just found out that FIL will go in for a double bypass at 8 am tomorrow. I'm hoping and praying all goes well. I know bypasses are common but because his diabetes is so out of control they consider him a high risk surgery. SIL wants to watch the kids tomorrow so I'll be having a day to myself. Boy I need it. I think I will just go shopping and have a quiet day to myself. I'll be thinking about FIL all day I'm sure. Well I wish I could get more personal but I'm beat. I'll chat more tomorrow! G'nite! |
Good morning, girls. :)
Spryng, I will be thinking of you and your FIL today..... please let us know how he does. And enjoy your day to yourself. I know your mind will be on FIL, but it will be good to spend some time with just you. Candy, so you want a third, huh? Well, I can only speak for myself, but I love having three kids, and I only "wanted" two! I had complications with my second pregnancy and was advised not to have another child. DH and I agreed that we were blessed with two healthy children and would stop there. But, "someone" had other plans for our little family, and along came Tyler. :) He is the sweetest little boy, and I could not imagine life without him. That is not to say 3 kids does not pose any challenges. Someone once told me that going from 2 to 3 kids is like going from a one-on-one to a zone defense! Boy, is that the truth! I did find that going from 2 to 3 was a much bigger adjustment than going from 1 to 2. But, it is easier now that my older 2 are in school and young ds is out of diapers. Karen, I hope you heard back from the doc yesterday. Please let us know what is up. I hope you are feeling better today. Michele, Ginny, and everyone else...... hope you guys are well. Check in when you can. :) Well, I have both boys home with me today, as older ds is not feeling well. He has been battling a cold all week, and I decided he should stay home today and rest. I had errands to run, but nothing that can't wait for the weekend. I can get some cleaning done around here instead, and he can stay in his jammies and play Playstation all day, if he likes. I just hope young ds is nice to him. My little guy has gotten used to having Mommy all to himself during the week while his siblings are off at school. Well, off to the shower.... have a great day! :) |
Hi!! New to This Board
Hi!! New to This Board
Hello!! I was referred here after posting on the diet buddy board. My name is Denise, and I am a 37 yo mom in Michigan. I have 2 dd, Sophia (19 months) and Anneliese (2.5 months). I just went back to Weight Watchers 6 weeks ago, and have lost about 8 pounds so far. I was OP in 2001, before my wedding. I lost 38 pounds, but two pregnancies have done their number on me. I am down to 230.75 (I WI tomorrow!) and want to get to 170. I am 6'1", so I figure that is reasonable. I am having a few issues this time around, which is why I am hoping a few moms out there can help with support. My newborn is very high needs, and we have had a lot of stress with her reflux diagnosis, upper GI scan etc. Very stressful, makes me want to eat!! Doing good at reisting, but some days I just need a grown up. Sophie is sweet, but still only a toddler! Looking forward to making new friends!! Denise |
Hi!
Gotta be short today- but I will be back on later. Welcome Denise!!!!! You will find lots of WW company here......there are quite a few of us on it. I had a really tough baby too..... fortunately he/we survived it (he is 14 now!) With him we thought it might have been reflux- then the diagnosis went to pyloric stenosis and the final diagnosis was for malrotation of the intestine (and manor surgery). So, I guess I can identify with what you might be going thru. Congrats on your 8# loss, BTW. Spryng, Karen, Michele.....sounds like you have been having tough days......I am praying for all of you! and hope things get better. Candy, Emily and for anyone else I missed......I will be back on later.....sorry for not getting personal now. See ya later. Ginny |
Thanks for the welcome, Ginny! Yes, Anneliese went through a whole series of tests at the beginning of October for malrotation. We ended up being sent 50 miles away with the xrays for a specialist to look at, but everything turned out OK.
Glad to hear that WW is spoken here. The first time I was OP, I was still working so there was a lot of office support. I find that having an online community to turn to at least gives me feedback. Talk soon, Denise Can't wait to meet more of you!! |
Hi everyone
Welcome, Denise. I am Ricci sahm of two boys 5 and 3. You will definately find support here for losing weight and whatever motherhood throws your way. The women here are wonderful. I finally got my computer up and going again. It was kicking us off about every 5 minutes. It crashed the other night, but I fixed it and it seems to be fine now. Spryng, I hope you FIL is okay. I will keep you in my prayers. Misty, I hope these last few days of your pregnancy go by quickly. I know your ready for the baby to make his appearence. As for me, I have still been working out and staying op. In fact last night we ordered pizza, and I only had two slices instead of the usual four. Its amazing how quickly I get filled up lately. I have finally figured out to eat until I am not hungry, not eat until I am full.I have actually found a lot of useful tips from Dr. Phil's weight loss shows. What makes me mad though is DH just started working out in the past few weeks, still eats like he always does and has lost weight and is seeing results in the mirror. Hopefully in a few weeks I will see more. Karen, let us know what the dr says. If I forgot anyone, sorry. Welcome to all the new people. |
Welcome Denise!
YOu have found a great place for support! The gals here are wonderful! Most are on WW around here! I am on Atkins though (Doctors orders!) Im Karen, SAHM of 2, ages 5 and 7. We live in WA state and dh and I have been married 13 years now! Well gang, I finally talked to the doctor. He thinks I have fibroids. SO I have to go in for an ultrasound. I think I am going to talk to him about a complete hystorectomy. I am so tired of being fixed for a few months and then having issues start again. My mom had fibriods starting in her late 30's (WHich I am) and they held off until she was 65. THe doctor told her after they took it all out that she should have done it years ago.. they didnt realize truely how bad it was... SO I am a little bit of a wreck.. but I am surviving... tears have been flowing for a good couple of hours now... Thanks for listening! :) |
Ricci!
All I can say is "MEN!" It isnt fair is it? |
karen,
Thank you! LOL |
Welcome Denise!
I am new around here also (been on a few days). I am a SAHM of 2 adorable kids. Kylie is 2 and Sean is 4. I have been married 8 years on December 9th. I also work at home full-time for a medical practice. I am not on WW or Atkins, just doing the calorie counting thing and trying to walk as often as possible. My two pregnancies are also what has brought me to this point. I gained 70 lbs with the first and 50 lbs with the second. I'm deteremined to get it off and keep it off before too much more time passes me by. Karen, glad to hear you got a diagnosis and that it is treatable. That kind of stuff can be very scary but it always makes you feel better to at least know what you are dealing with. Ricci, congrats on having the willpower to resist those extra slices of pizza. Pizza is one of my weaker spots, so I have been avoiding it until I get a little stronger! Glad your computer is back up and thanks for inviting me over to this thread!!! Hi everyone else!!! I'm outta here. Going shrimping tonight with the DH and DS (DMIL has my baby girl) so it should be interesting. I'll let you know how it goes. I used to really enjoy shrimping as a teenager but now it is just kinda messy and wet but at least I get to spend time with my guys! I'm really sorry to hear about your baby girl's problems. Fortunately, I didn't have any problems with either of my kids but both my nieces had severe GI problems so I know what you're talking about it. |
For some reason my last post got all mixed up when it posted. That last paragraph was for you, Denise, and was originally under the first paragraph?!?
Weird!!! |
