Default reached goal-don't want to slip

Hello! I'm 29 and decided to finally get serious about losing
weight about 9 months ago It helped knowing I had to look
good at my wedding this summer. With the help of a nutritionist- she
planned out a meal plan and slowly, about a pound a week, I hit
my original size goal and actually exceeded it! I've been very very happy.

But with the wedding over, and fall beginning, I just can't get
back into the swing of things. I keep eating badly and then eating
well- so I've basically been stuck at one size for about 3 months.

My real goal is not just to lose the weight but make this a lifestyle change- I wanted to eat on the plan until December. I don't want to go back. I don't want to start all over. I want this to be permanent!!!!

COULD REALLY USE SOME ADVICE ON REMOTIVATING, ENCOURAGEMENT,
ANYONE PLEASE???

Congratulations to you that is FANTASTIC! and Congrats on your marriage too! One thing I have done is put my beginning pic and for you a goal or wedding pic on your fridge to remind you. One of the main things is IF you gain some as soon as you hit let's say 5lbs over your goal, don't let it go any further. One of the best things I can tell you is to focus on how you feel about yourself today. Are you happier since you lost the weight, do you feel better, do you feel you look better? If you say yes, than when you are eating badly remind yourself that you DON'T want to go back to where you were. It is never easy, but for every month you stay within a good eating plan for life, the easier it will become because those will be CHOICES you made for yourself not DEMANDS you put upon yourself!

Good Luck!

Default Thanks gma2one

Really- thank you so much for your reply. It's meant a lot
to have some words of support. I hope you don't mind if I print out your
reply and tack it up at home. It was really wonderful advice and I had
to really think about what you said about making choices not demands.

Good luck on your weight loss journey! I'm sure you will succeed with
such a wise attitude.
