Wow Larry! I'm glad you are ok, sorry you have to have surgery. That sounds terrible! 46 lbs is amazing!!

I started the Carnivor way of eating on Christmas Eve and have lost 46 pounds so far,

Diana, my shoes wear out fast too, especially the pinky toe area. I'm glad you got new shoes. I have large flat feet.

Good Morning, Everyone!

Steps from yesterday: 9,710

Have a Blessed day and stay safe and healthy!

Copied from Crosswalk Devotions for Dieters

February 8

James 4:7
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

The earliest days of a diet are the hardest. There are times when it just seems impossible to resist the wonderful treats that appear everywhere. But resist we must. The reward comes to us when we realize that with each victory over an individual temptation, it be-comes all the easier to resist in the future. The largest part of the battle is to realize that we really can do it. The Scriptures promise us that when we resist temptation (the devil), it will flee from us, and it will trouble us no more. God never makes a promise that He won't keep. The battle's been won.

Today's thought: There is no temptation I cannot resist!

SinaRose, that's where I am essentially stuck. I was writing to vent about my fixation on food and lack of other passions and interests in life. But then there's no turning point because I'm stuck in my ways too, and the character is me with a few modifications. Buy a smaller outfit set, haha. Well, I'm over 200, was complaining about being in the 180s too before Christmas. But I'm restarting a calorie counting regiment today. We'll see how that goes.

Good afternoon! LadyBinger, all of us go through periods when we fixate on food. I tend to do it in the summer. Will go for a power walk and run errands in a few minutes. 😁💝😷❤️

LadyBinger-I don’t know how much spare time you have, but if you have lots of free time, you may consider volunteering somewhere such at a Senior center, animal shelter, church, etc. It helps me get my mind off food and focusing on something else more important and satisfying, such as helping others.
