Happy Birthday Ciecie!

Gone Astray I can never believe when someone doesn't like tofu - it's like a canvas for sauces! I like it firm fried and crispy or soft and mushy, but I haven't had it in a while. Soy is one of those controversial nutrients I believe though a quick google search seems to be in favor of it - though there are plenty of sites citing the "debate" about whether soy is good for you anyway. Every time I cook it it sticks to the pan though.

182 today, and that is despite having a small chocolate milkshake from dairy queen yesterday...which shows how well I did the rest of the day. Still frustrated I did hit that 179 and gained back from there and Mondays are never good for me diet-wise but hopefully the extreme stress of work right now doesn't lead me off the path.... I think once I get to 178 I'll start walking on my treadmill it's just my feet are still kind of in bad shape from dealing with the extra weight.

Good Morning, Everyone!

Steps from yesterday: 10,012

Have a Blessed day and stay safe and healthy!

Copied from Crosswalk Devotions for Dieters

September 11

Romans 4:21
And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.

Jesus Christ turned water to wine, He walked on the water, and calmed the sea. He cured many diseases and cast out demons. He conquered death for His friend Lazarus and for Himself. He promises that He will be with us and that His power is ours as we try to be the people God created us to be. How, then, can we doubt that He will help us when we need to lose weight? Are not the pounds of our flesh within His scope of power? Cannot the chosen Son of God do such a small miracle in our lives as to give us the determination we need to conquer fat? This He can and will do, and much more, if we will but believe.

Today's thought: 'More' brought about my distress; help me, Lord, to live by 'less'!

Good morning,
company has left and house is quiet.

LadyB-on the tofu, I have never dared to order in a restaurant, I have only ever made tofu cheesecake years ago from a Weight Watchers cookbook. It was OK. The recipes I see fry it so the outside is crispy but when I look at the calorie breakdown on the receipe it is 160 cal for a serving but 90 of those are from fat and only 32 from protein, the rest is carbs. I think I could do better with chicken breast, but I will keep looking.

My plans for the day are unambitious, we have rain forecasted yet again with wind and t storms. I do need to get fresh veggies and plan meals for the rest of the week.

Good afternoon! Power walked and ran errands this morning. Worked at my volunteer job today. A ton of stuff was left at the front door. I brought all of it in. I got some of it put away. I’m going there again on Wednesday. Hopefully I’ll get it all done. 😁🌞😷📚

Good evening
Nett, sorry about your sister moving away, where are you located? Are you close enough to plan meet ups? I see a lot of people post about their great relationships with their sisters. I so wish I had that. I have a sister who is 6 years older, we never got along. I thought as we grew up and older we could have a relationship-how I would love to have someone to call when I am lonely and have issues and also to support when she had the same. Unfortunately, my sister is a narcissist, who cares about no one but herself, she is now 74 and just the same bitter selfish bit** i grew up with. So I guess I am glad she lives in Florida.
I am picking up grandson #1 from college tomorrow and will have him overnight again, I so much enjoyed talking with him last week. It has been discussed that he might be 'on the spectrum of autism' but he is so chatty and fun with me that I think he is just particular. He surprises me with his knowledge of the world-like squid ink soup! I will have to find something fun to make for dinner or maybe take him out to eat.
I have a few things to finish/fix then I can pack. 4 weeks to a big juried craftsmen's fair, I did extremely well there last fall. Gosh I have to cut down a birch tree and cut cookies out to paint for the holidaty fair. I only cut ones that are hanging over the fence and must be cut

Goneastray
same with this sister. Only thinking of herself. But oh well it is what it is. I was sad today but at the moment I'm feeling good.

Good night all! Nett, do live close enough to Texas so you can visit your sister. That’s good that she’s happy about the move. 😁🌞😷📚

Back up to 183 after ordering something absolutely evil - Crumbl Cookies - has anyone heard of it? Oooh is it the devil. Goal is to get to 180 by Friday (and I'm taking off Friday so should be easier to get into the 170s this weekend!)
