Good Morning, Everyone!

Yangtzer I usually buy my normal stuff. Meaning, anything I normally buy online like makeup, vitamins, etc I will take advantage of the promo codes, etc. What about you?

Steps from yesterday: 9,373

Have a Blessed day and stay safe and healthy. Have a great start to your week!

Copied from Crosswalk Devotions for Dieters

Genesis 1:31
And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

One thing that makes dieting so hard is that what we have to give up is so good. We have found ways to make foods into so many wonderful concoctions. It would be a lot easier to give up certain foods if they were drab and boring. Yet, variety is a true gift from God. We are given special treats to enjoy, but not to overindulge in. Gluttony robs life of its special treats. When we have whatever we want whenever we want it, then nothing is special anymore. If we will practice discipline and self-restraint, then we can treat ourselves to rich, luscious foods without worry of what they will do to us. That way, we come to enjoy treats the way God meant us to enjoy them.

Today's thought: When I indulge too much, I bulge too much!

This week’s weigh-in showed….. not good at all. My weight skyrocketed. I ate way too much food this weekend. My body is so bloated. I had to pry my ring off my hand last night because it was getting too tight. My husband feels the same and agreed it is time for both of us to kick start this diet effort again.
Glad to have him join me on this effort.

It was a quiet weekend here. We didn’t get out to shop for any special deals. Just watched the start of the TV series “100”.

Nancy-sorry for your family loss.

This chart gives me a fresh perspective. It's fun

Ciecie..Happy walking! Does Old Navy get busier during the holidays?

Diana..I hear y’all. I gain weight faster too. I heard it’s because humans evolved to cope with starvation ...which worked out great until modern transportation, desk jobs and an abundance of tasty junk food became the norm. Do you eat too little while on a diet and “overcompensate” later?

SinaRose..Maybe it’s just water weight. Did you eat too much salt over the weekend? Welcome your hubby and let’s do this together.

Nancy..Sorry for your loss. Are you finishing the lifting program by the end of 2022?

Good Morning, Everyone!

I'm dealing with the prednisone insomnia. Been up since 3 am. This too shall pass.

Yangtzer I don't have that issue, what about you? My main issue is binging when I'm feeling anxious. All of my anxious issues revolve around dealing with people and their different personalities. I can easily get my feelings hurt and take things personally. There is a lady at my church, who comes across as a bully. I have mentioned her here before. I work with her on various projects and I co-teach with her. I have felt bullied by her in the past and that was when I started binging again. I stopped working with her and recently started back. We haven't had any issues since but the binging monster reared it's ugly head and I have struggled since.

John 16:22
'And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.'

It was very weird, but Linda sort of missed her diet. She had made some really good friends in her weight-loss group, and she had gotten used to the routine. If anyone would have told her a few months ago that she would miss dieting, she would have said they were crazy. What was there to miss? She had freedom to eat more of what she wanted to now, and she didn't have to be self-conscious. Linda really believed that God had given her new friends and experiences for a reason. She was so thankful that she had been able to lose weight the way she did, with the people she did. Maybe now she could go back and be a help to others.

Today's thought: On days when I can't help myself, maybe I can help others!

Diana, Yangtzer-Thanks for the words of encouragement. 🥰 I hope you don’t have many negative side effects from prednisone, Diana. My battle is being an emotional eater. I am getting better at tackling it, but it has been a long going effort. Yesterday I did well for starting over again. Now onwards to day 2.
