Diet and eating habits have an impact on our mental health.

What we eat affects not only our physical health, but also our mental health and well-being.
Eating well – that is, eating a balanced diet rich in vegetables and nutrients – can boost your sense of well-being and mood.
A balanced diet contains acceptable amounts of protein, carbohydrates, fat, and other nutrients.

What is the relationship between diet and mental health?
The connection between our diet and our mental health is complicated. However, studies have found a link between what we eat and how we feel.

Eating healthily can make you feel better

This is so true, Venisius, and so valuable to acknowledge every day! When I eat healthy, balanced meals with a mindful approach, I feel so much better physically, mentally, socially, emotionally, everything. My body works better and so does my mind. I feel in control of myself, not the victim of impulses or broken promises to myself. The whole day goes better if I choose healthy food and keep it in its proper place, not obsessing over it. In fact, it feels so good in all ways that remembering and acknowledging this motivates me each day to persevere with my new eating habits. As long as I make sure I'm consuming fewer calories each day than I burn off, the weight comes off. It's a change in thinking, one designed for the long haul. Thanks, Venisius, for your remarks!

Great points

This is very true. I've slipped back into old habits the last couple of weeks, but I've found I'm more emotional (especially after eating junk food).
