January 2022 - Daily Accountability/Lifestyle Change - Everyone Welcome!
Hi, Everyone! Welcome to the Check-In! Let's make it a great month!
I want to welcome everyone to the Daily Accountability Check-In. Our goal is to stay accountable and on track by posting our daily food and exercise choices. All food and exercise programs are welcome. Consistency is the key to reaching our weight loss goals.
Introduce yourself or jump right in and tell us what you have been doing.
Diana: Thanks for starting a new thread, a new year!
Nancy: I need to start thinking about those New Years resolutions... I think I want to drink more water. I think that I want to get out the yoga mat and do more core exercises... I think I need to think some more.
I biked and did exercises yesterday. Diet was off because of oatmeal cookies and a ham salad sandwich... But these last three months have been really good. I hope, I hope that I can continue along this path. Thanks for being here.
I hate to admit that I have bumped back up above 200. But here we are and it's time to get focused again.

1 Corinthians 6:19
What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
As Christians, we believe that God dwells within us. Our bodies become His home, and it makes sense that we should try to make His surroundings as nice as possible. The temple of God in Israel was kept immaculately clean and pure. Only the most clean and holy of men were allowed to enter it. It was revered by all. The temple was the most holy and special place of all. When we are told that our bodies are the temple of God, it is not an option whether or not we will take care of it; it is a duty. When we care for our physical being, we are making God's temple a holy and special place.
Today's thought: We diet not only for ourselves, but for God!

Happy New Year to all!
This is going to be our year for improvements. One of my resolutions is to be more sociable on the forum. I read all posts, but intend to increase my participation.
I thought I lost 4 lbs in 2021 but they have returned so 2021 was a wash. Better things are coming.
Good afternoon! Power walked and ran errands late this morning/early this afternoon. Just finished lunch. Have my second load of laundry in the washer and my first load of laundry in the dryer. 😁🎊😷🎉🍾❤️🍾
Good night all! Power walked to and home from church tonight. Ran errands on the way home. Had supper. My fitness goals for today have been attained. 😁🍾😷☃️❤️🎉
I had a surprise gain overnight. I'm not sure if it was a delayed gain because NYE we ate late or if it was from the cheese I had yesterday. My calories were good so it might have been from the sodium in the cheese. I haven't had time to look at it but I downloaded/printed out a list of WW zero points foods. Most of it is probably common sense but I might be able to find something to tweak in my foods.
It's suppose to rain today, so I'll have to figure out my workout plan.
Ciecie Yay for getting it all done!

1 Peter 1:16
...it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
Too often we think that holiness is merely a matter of the spirit. We feel that if we read our Bible, pray regularly, and attend worship, we are being holy. But holiness requires that we tend to our physical health as well as our spiritual health. Early Christians realized that they were more alert and better able to concentrate on God when they felt good. Tending to the body made them better at their spiritual pursuits. Dieting may make us look better, but it will also make us feel better, and it will enable us to pursue God in deeper and more meaningful ways.
Today's thought: We please God when we try to be the best we can be!
Diana: I looked up the chocolates at Biltmore...They look really good... I guess the "bubbles" were the champagne... That sounds good, too.
Rachel: My cat runs across my laptop while I am working. Sometimes, it really messes up what I am doing...
I biked and did my exercises yesterday. I had a problem with oatmeal cookies the past 2 days, and a half a chocolate muffin. I was up a pound yesterday. I don't know about today. But, otherwise my diet was good. I have been eating really tiny burgers. I was thinking about making meatloaf burgers and freezing them raw, but now I think maybe I will cook up some eggwhites and add them in when I make my burger sandwich... I will have to see how that tastes... OH, my cookies are all gone... I will miss them and not miss them.
A Blessed New Year to all my buddies here!! I stayed at my Mom & Dad's the last two nights because my husband was feeling sick. Just don't want my parents to get sick.
Diana, just loved the last two days' worth of devotionals. Really spoke to me.
Teri, those silly cats! It's just a cat thing to want to be in the midst of what you are doing. Ever try to make a bed with the cat within the blankets or sheets, thinking it's a game? I always have to come back to do it later when the cat is not in the room.
