Teri, "Places in the Heart" is excellent. And, as Ciecie mentioned, Sally Fields is outstanding in it. Try to see it! I may not have the details straight, since it's been so long since I've seen it, but it's about a widowed woman with young kids (maybe there's just one kid) trying to save her southern farm of cotton. Bank going to foreclose. She has only the help of a blind man, one other man, and herself and kid(s) to get the cotton picked in time. Maybe Ciecie can help fill in or correct details.


I took in 1820 calories. Got into the ice cream and toppings(nuts and butterscotch)......twice. Might be eating out Subway with a friend today.


Today's Plan: 1500-1800 calories today, 2 liters water, veggies, fiber, vit/min/calcium supp., situps, stretching, recumbent bike.

Good Morning!
I have been doing well the last few days, except for night eating, which I manage by planning for it.
Yesterday I ate around 1800, and took off 400 for 1 hour weightlifting and 350 cals cardio.
I have that great feeling of being thinner, not bloated.

I had a hair appt today and DH and I also had errands to run. We were out and about all day. No workout.

Total Approx 1510 calories +

Breakfast (210 calories & )
coffee w/cream & sugar
Siggi's yogurt 110
banana 100 calories

Lunch (800 Calories)
chicken salad sandwich on wheat 600 calories
grape salad 200 calories

Dinner (500 Calories)
2 mahi tacos 400 calories
1 yassi fro-yo 100 calories

Hi!

Rachel: I missed All Creatures...last week. I hope on demand will put it on for free...Maybe I will check the library...

I exercised past 2 days: efflexor, biking, and swimming. Todsay I did 20 back and 20 freestyle. No exercises at home. Diet has been off. Need to get back on track...

It is like an alluring drug to me.

Tiia, wow on an hour of weight-lifting! I'm impressed. And inspired! You go, girl!

I took in 1290 calories yesterday. Did recumbent bike. Skipped my weight-lifting plans. Hopefully today?

We are suppose to be getting some winter weather today. Before it gets bad we (church ladies) are meeting at the church to process the food for the Blessing Box. I did the shopping on Wednesday day. We take each food item and put Bible scriptures on them.

In many respects, dieting is like a washing away of fat. What greater joy is there than to step up on the scales and see the pointer a few marks to the left of where it was a couple days before. When we lose, we feel cleansed, and the cleansing is not just physical. Emotionally we begin to feel better about ourselves. Our guilt, our poor self-image, our pain all begin to wash away, too. This is the best washing of all. We are renewed both inside and out, and we become a fitting and holy temple; a righteous dwelling place for the Lord!

Hello to everyone
It has been a rough couple of days in our family. But I can say that we are blessed and safe. My nephew is getting the help he needs and my brother has myself, and our siblings to support him. Sorry to be a debbie downer.
Part of me, well all of me has a smile on my face because I can come here and share my family drama and know one would judge. And I know a few prayers came our way.

Then under the category of 'don't sweat the small stuff' I will need to adjust my tracker as I am no closer to 160 than 150.
