Good Morning, Everyone!

Ciecie It's nice when they update the stores.

Steps from yesterday: 10,417

Have a Blessed day and stay safe and healthy.

John 3:21
'But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.'

Jack was so proud to show off his wife, Eileen, when they went home for the holidays. Over the summer and fall, she had lost sixty-five pounds. She looked great, and Jack was proud of her. She had worked so hard, and he felt she deserved some credit. It made Eileen feel good to know it meant so much to Jack. God had been good to them both. He had given them patience to deal with each other, and had blessed them both with strength and encouragement. It was true that when a person worked to do what the Lord wanted her to do, He crowned her in victory and allowed her to bask in the limelight for awhile!

Today's thought: I don't care if I come into the limelight, as long as I become light!

Good Morning!

Diana: I still miss the "food fests" we had. At present we are not supposed to serve food where we meet. ...And we only meet once a month.

Rachel: I think I do better with working out because I have organized my gym stuff. When I come home, I go thru the garage to the basement where I empty my bag/hang up wet stuff and put fresh clothes in my bag. I keep a couple of containers in the basement filled with fresh clothes. It saves me a trip up and down two flight of stairs when I am really tired after working out. The one day that I missed working out, I should have put the bag in the car because I passed the gym on my way home at the end of the day...

CieCie: I rewatched the old West Side Story (1961). The music and the lyrics are wonderful. I look forward to seeing Spielberger's new version.

Nancy: Hope you figure out a way to take off those extra pounds... I am hoping that I can make my goal this month. I am feeling so tempted to eat out...

I biked and swam yesterday and did my exercises. I did not realize that the pool schedule is different on Friday, so I only did part of my lap swimming. Oh well. Diet has been okay. I need to make some soup again... and write a list of groceries to buy to make some new recipes... I am still so far behind all the stuff that I need to do this month...

Matthew 5:8
'Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.'

Denise wanted to do what was right. She was a good person, and it never occurred to her that her weight problem might be displeasing to God. Her friend tried to tell her that it didn't mean God didn't love her. What she meant was that God likes it best when we take the best care of ourselves possible, and that extra weight wasn't doing that. Denise pondered what her friend said to her for a long while, then resolved to try her best to lose weight. Apologetically, she prayed to God and asked Him to help her as she tried to set things right. The prayer of a person pure in heart and full of kindness speaks loudest into the ear of the Lord.

Today's thought: I wish my heart could teach my mouth to say 'no'!

Good Morning!

Diana: I don't eat at buffets very often, so it is really nice when I attend a social event where everyone brings something. But...BUT...It is good to be vigilant at these events...

CieCie: I watched a good bio on Rita Moreno (West Side Story) on Netflix. It was good. I did not realize that she played Tuptim in the King and I.

I biked/did the arc trainer yesterday and today I did my exercises... Diet is okay. I felted tempted to go get a roast beef snacker or meatball sub or burger, or frappe, but I came home and had a burger with flatbread, lettuce, and onion...and later I had flat bread with hot pepper cheese and tomato and onion and EVOO. Oh, I also played Scrabble.

I have been using shredded cheese to make my sandwiches. I read that there are food additives in shredded cheese that are not necessarily good for you. I have also been using stevia that comes in a big bag that is cut with dextromaltose. I don't know if this is good. Do any of you use little packets of stevia and if so what brand and do you recommend it? I use stevia when I make lemonade. It sometimes hits the spot when I am hungry in the middle of the night or when I need a snack in between meals...

Good day to all
WI down a bit again, so I will take it
WO nothing today, just errands.

However we are going to get a thin crust veggie pizza from papa murphys for lunch/dinner. Then have a little picnic and watch a movie. It is too wet and rainy to really head out today.

So for Christmas I am making a splurge purchase. DH and I have given up trying to buy each other a gift. So we each pick out something we would normally ever buy for ourselves. We will typically find something for a few $100 but no more than $400. At first we tried to say we got each other our new chest freezer but then realized that was not a splurge that was necessary. So I am buying myself a Levo II infusion machine. We like infused oils and butters when cooking so it will be fun to experiment. So many combinations! Since I grow my own herbs this will work well. It can dehydrate, then activate then infuse oil's and butters. I am learning so much!

Default Just for today

good evening,
My name is Ann, I am 66 retired, live in NH and just got my butt in gear and got back on Atkins on Monday.

I have had a great weigh in and my food has been totally on program. For me a bigger deal is I got 2 loads of laundry washed, dried, folded and put away! I trudged out to the woods on the back of my property and pulled the SD cards out of my game cameras. Got some nice deer and gray foxes along with a red squirrel. I exchange the cards weekly April to October then every few weeks in winter. Our snow has melted and we had 44 degree temps and sun.
