Good evening! Thanks for getting the November thread started. November is going to be a busy month for me. This week I have two doctors appointments. One is Tuesday. The other is Wednesday. The one on Tuesday is with my primary care doctor for a physical. He’ll give me an order for blood work and an order for my mammogram. The blood work is to have my cholesterol and thyroid checked. The second appointment is with my retina doctor. That’s also for a check up. It should be routine. 😁❤️😷🍀

Good night all! Teri, both appointments should go well. Am watching Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 2 on the Syfy Channel now. 😁🍀❤️😷

Default Good morning

Teri, lately I've had a really hard time limiting my intake to 1200 calories. Yes, I've been hungry. I also have not been eating enough veggies. Seems like when I eat a lot of veggies, I can do 1200 calories, and don't feel hungry. To lose weight, I DO need to limit myself to around 1200 calories. So i keep trying.......

Ciecie, you certainly do have some appointments coming up. Hope they go well. Nice to get them out of the way before the snow falls, if you have to go a distance to get to them.

Today's Plan: 1200 calories, 2 liters water, need to cut up veggies, fiber, vit/min/cal supp., sit-ups, stretches, walk at track or walk on treadmill.

Good morning! Rachel, I only have to travel 8 miles to get to my primary care doctor’s office. My retina doctor’s office is over an hour away. Will have breakfast and work out in a few minutes. 😁🍀😷❤️

Good Morning!

CieCie: I just found out that a professional that I used to see passed away from Covid-19...very sad. Too too young. I did not see that coming. Younger than me...and thin...//I really liked the Harry Potter films when the kids were young...I wish that they had done more stories about that...more about magic, less about darkness.

Rachel: I don't count my calories, so maybe I am doing less sometimes than I think. I kind of do food groups...

I wanted to relate to you what I did different this past month. I did not buy any chocolate almond milk. I did not buy any ice cream except for a free jr. frosty with chilie from Wendy's and a family member gave me a couple of Dilly bars. Once I only ate half of the chilie and I later made two burritos with the leftover chilie. I ate soup every day. I drank a couple of cups of plain soy milk every day. I ate apples and oranges and sometimes had OJ. I watered down red juice (unsweetened cranberry or cherry juice) and added spices. I ate egg white sandwiches with cheese, cheese sticks, flat bread. I did have some junk food that was offered to me like cake and fun size candy bars. The latter has the potential to be a problem for me.

Good morning again! Just got home from power walking and running errands. Was surprised the store still had today’s Buffalo News. Usually that sells out right away after The Bills win. Will take a shower in a few minutes. 😁🍀😷❤️

Good Morning, Everyone!

I also have a lot going on this week. I might not be able to get formal workouts in. I'll do the best I can. One of our church family members passed away on Friday. I have been asked to sing with the group for her memorial service. Tonight we are going to the fair.

Ciecie Good luck with all of your appointments.

Steps from yesterday: 7,695

Have a Blessed day and stay safe and healthy. Have a great start to your week and month!

Copied from Crosswalk Devotions for Dieters

November 1

Hebrews 6:10
For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

What a great reward! Robin had never looked so good. All her months of dieting paid off royally. It was beautiful to see the expressions on people's faces when they saw her. She couldn't wait to go out to show herself off. God had certainly blessed her through the rough time of dieting. There were days when she decided it just wasn't worth it. Now, she could hardly believe she ever had doubts. Looking in the mirror, she even surprised herself. She never thought she'd look this good. When we dedicate ourselves to doing things that are right and good to do, God is sure to bless us and reward us for our labors.

Today's thought: Improvement comes with practice. I can even get good at dieting!

Well chicks, I am here still.
I have to say this past month was not good for me. I know you have all heard me whine about my medication blah blah. But this time it went into overdrive. I had what I will call and 'event' that scared the begeezes out of me. The medication which btw I have discontinued at the advice of my Dr. gave me a new appreciation for those who suffer from depression and mental illness. It was like watching a train wreak happen. You knew it was going to be bad but you could not look away. I am doing much better now and my head is clear.

So with that said
WI up 2lb this past week
WO yep back to the gym this morning for the first time in quite awhile. I plan to keep this up again.

I have to say I have missed posting on a regular bases and will aim to be much better going forward.

Hi Everyone!

Terri You are doing a great job! Keep it up.

Nancy Yikes, that medicine sounds rough. I'm glad you are doing better now. Are you taking a different medicine now or taking a break?

Today I had my usual coffee, I had a protein bar, grapes, and then the fair food tonight. I did a lot better than I did in previous years. I am happy about that. It will take a bit for the gain from DH's birthday and the fair food to come back off. I was able to get a formal workout in today, a strength interval walk. Tomorrow will be another busy day. I have an appointment, I need to do the shopping for the Blessing Box, and then we have our ladies meeting at church.

Have a Blessed evening!

Default Good morning

Nancy, really scary that you experienced such bad side effects on that medication. So sorry you went through that. Way to go on your gym workout .

I took in 1495 calories yesterday. I'm going to widen my planned calorie range a bit.

Today's Plan: 1200-1400 calories, 2 liters water, veggies, fiber, vit/min/cal supp., situps, stretching, treadmill or walk at track.
